Introducing a New Site Feature...Crunchyroll Comics!
|
The pages are very slow at loading. So I'll wait till later when Crunhyroll hopefully improves it.
But I think this is a great idea. There are so many creative people out there. I'll definitely be reading. |

I think this is a great idea that crunchyroll has done. Manga artists can have their work shown to a variety of different people legally, and others can freely read it with the best service: Crunchyroll!
This has made me want to start drawing manga again. I have took a break from drawing manga due to exams, but I may get back to creating my own manga The title is awesome too. xD |

Blue Exorcist, GE: Good Ending, A Town Where You Live, etc. Blue Exorcist is already licensed by Viz, but not the other two. It would be awesome if they got to license other manga. |

This is awesome, but I really hope they are testing the waters for licensed manga. Book stores are going out of business everywhere and reading manga on most tablets/kindles just doesn't work, not to mention how hard even finding what you want is.
Not to mention this would go perfectly with their tablet apps. |

I think support for member contributed web comics is very cool.
As far as licensed manga, which seems to come to the minds of lots of people ... do you mean like JManga for licensed Manga by the volume and and JManga7 for new licensed chapters, with new chapters every day? Yeah, why doesn't somebody try something like that? prabashi wrote: AWESOMEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE i wish crunchyroll put mangas on here too it WOULD BE SOOOOOOOO KOOOOL stark700 wrote: Nice but I'm curious, is CR ever planning on releasing official manga for its users to read here from official series? Ex. Blue Exorcist, GE: Good Ending, A Town Where You Live, etc. Dathu wrote: So, does this mean Crunchyroll will eventually allow users to read "official" manga online? You know, kind of like fan-lation only not done by fans but by CR: Crunchlations? tejytimo wrote: I would certainly love the idea of having high quality and "legal" translated scans of official mangas. I would also love the idea of having another weekly queue for just manga. To really make this website expand, it would behoove the people of Crunchyroll to license the same mangas as the anime they already stream. But this would be difficult with manga like Naruto, Bleach, or Fairy Tail as they are already licensed by Viz Media in the US. It would work great with Medaka Box because it does not have any official english licensing. Leyuen wrote: CR would totally make more money, as Japanese manga producers were trying to push it so that you have to have the license to do so and still are, sites that are doing it illegally would eventually shut down like how CR had to take down all those user uploaded anime a long time ago and a lot other sites took down their uploaded anime in panic. Anyone know of a subscription service where I can read entire mangas from start to the most current or last chapter if it's finished? That's what I want. I don't care if it uses Flash, takes up 100% of my CPU and drains my notebook's battery quickly.

should give it a dedicated tab on the top right before the stores one.

I think its a cool idea and a natural branching out, so to speak, of a site like this. I dont read mangas or comics, but this is a terrific way to get more people in the loop and interested. Its great for new artists and creators and it would be nice to see officially liscenced works in the future.
I would also like to point out that "Artists Alley" is part of the ComicCon expo, and is designated as a large part of their convention for old and new mangakas/authors/designers/painters etc etc to personally display and peddle their works at these expos, as well as mingle with the fans. You may want to look into the use of that. |
