This is a really interesting feature. I'm digging it. Will there be a reader for phones? Will this be a separate thing we pay for or will it be added to the sub fee?

There's a lot of good independent talent out there. This could be awesome if all the cards are played right.

Thanks crunchyroll for making things extra that we don't always expect. I think this is a kick butt feature, and with the guided reading, it could teach people how to read manga. It'll also give people to try writing their own manga and may just get famous. I think this is an awesome thing. This is why i'm a premium member and plan to stay one for many years ty crunchyroll

Am seriously considering this, but want to give it a bit more thought and see how it goes (let it run all the possible bugs out)...until then my webcomic(manga) can be found at http://www.thewarriorofruin.com/

Please for anyone who is taking part in this, if you could post your experiences with it both bad and good that would be great!

Also if any Crunchyroll staff is reading, I looked through the disclaimer and am happy that we retain the rights to our content, but to be super sure, does this mean that in no way shape or form are we giving up rights to our original characters, stories, art etc?

thank you kindly and work hard all you mangakas!!

Hi everyone! My name is Jake Richmond, writer and artist of Modest Medusa. I'm really excited to bring my comic to Crunchyroll, and I hope you'll head to the artist alley and check it out!

Well, so far it's been positive for me. The upload and management tools have been very easy to use and the reader interface is nice. No complaints so far!

Innovation! I love it. These are the kind of ideas that differentiate winners vs also-rans.

This is actually really cool! It must be nice for some rather underground webcomic creators heavily inspired by manga or anime to have the opportunity to get noticed here. Perhaps I'll fan some new comics to become a fan of here now~ It looks great~

Nice to see I can also keep up here now on a few of my favorite artists comics.

My only request though would be to allow for us to create a list of these, as in like how we can add anime or drama to our queue or watchlist thing.
I would like to see something similar or at least like a favorite/follow feature, so those who follow multiple manga can keep track of the ones they are regularly following, while they can also still browse for new stuff.

This seems like a really good idea but I am probably never going to use it.

Yes, this is an ingenious way to combine the member-upload heritage of the early Crunchyroll with the respect for artist rights heritage of today's Crunchyroll.

It would be really cool if some manga translators were to make contact with doujinshi artists in Japan and add some original manga content from Japan to the mix.

The headline made me wonder the implications of this relative to Jmanga, but I see there is no particular overlap. But if that's the case, I have to wonder why is CR comfortable allowing this but not videos? Either way, if CR is putting any increased emphasis on audience content, I hope any content at a more serious level gets a more serious treatment.

If they allowed video uploads, what are the odds that the video uploads would be all original content, rather than AMV's or other mashups of work that the uploader is not licensed to upload?

There's substantially more all-original content available in comic format.
