I thought I'd post this here seeing no one else did already, and explain just briefly why it's happening and what it is.

http://www.humblebundle.com

If you click the link you should probably quite easily be introduced to the product and know pretty much instantly what it is, but if you choose not to, just know that THQ has had issues lately. Money issues, which IMO, is quite unfortunate considering it's a great company, and a couple of great games has been developed there. Without going into too much details, their stocks fell quite harshly and they're on the nip to be, extinguished, bankrupt, for what I know at least.

What matters though is that they've put 7 of their games + soundtracks in a bundle where you can choose what amount you want to buy them for yourself. From shamefully low to as high you can go and choose whether you want to give your money to Charity, red cross etc, child's play and so on, or give them to THQ, or of course HumbleBundle inc themselves.
You can either divide the amount, balance it between the three, most to charity and less to THQ e.g, or the whole amount to one of them.

This also makes me think more about why digital copies are super awesome. The fact that you can sell unlimited copies, or in this case, rather almost give them away for free to support either a charity or a company in need, without any possible noticeable expenditure. It's a great way to show support either way. In general you shouldn't claim to get something back, physically or in any way when you give to charity, but if you do, more people will actually care to give. That's just how the world is today. And since it's digital, even the small amounts make an income, that you maybe possibly wouldn't have gotten if it wasn't for the digital copies and the "Humble bundle" for example. It goes straight into your Steam account, and they don't have to go through the hazzle to pay people to print your retail copy and the cover, and mail it to you.

Retail boxes, cd's, dvd's and such is a nice for display of course, it's a great way to show people what you consider important, what you like, so I'm not saying I want digital copies to dominate entirely and take over the world, but regardless if they did, I think it's a great improvement in the market. It's a very positive new standard.

Here's a gift certificate btw, for the first who cares to read. https://twitter.com/MoushXo/status/274690934158016512.
It's a $15 bundle, and divided between Charity and THQ, with a little profit to humblebundle inc for the awesome site.
I wanted to spend more, but I already bought one for myself and one for my brother for the same amount, x2.

It may not be an extremely important or maybe even remotely important bundle, but I feel like supporting either child's play, or THQ with a few dollars is a good way to buy a few games ^^-

Thanks.
Sorry for the wall. I GOT CARRIED AWAY, OOPS!

I got 5 copies for me and my friends. Not to be greedy tho, but I only donated $1 per a bundle. I burned all my money on upgrading computer hardwares and buying electronic devices such as iPhone,iPod touch and other stuff. I find it suprising that a 20 years old female plays such violent games like darksider,MOH,SRT and metro2033. Do you play TF2? ^.^

I had SRT beforehand. Played it quiet a lot. But I figured I'd buy and redeem one of these bundles myself because of Metro2033. Haven't really heard much about it, but I knew it's supposed to be pretty cool. I did indeed try TF2, but I didn't quite get to play it as much as I'd wanted..

Already got it and gave most of my money to THQ.
They and Relic have done good by Warhammer 40k and I'll be upset if they die.
