Video sensor

Was wondering if there is a way to watch the videos un-sensored? I find the sensor distracting.

Well, I'm not sure if this will affect it, but try clicking on your drop-down next to the search box at the top of the page, then click on "settings." From there, go to "video preferences" and change the "Mature content filter" from "hide" to "show," if you haven't already done that. I'm pretty sure it's on hide by default. |

CR does not censor anything but simply receives the same censored files that are broadcast in japan.

Thank mwhitco91, I've changed those settings.
It doesn't seem to have affected Queens Blade, though by look of that it is drawn in the actual animation. Will see if the others are the same. |

No, CR has only one version of each show, the same one that was aired on broadcast stations in Japan. If you see an uncensored version of a simulcast offered by illegal sites, they ripped it from AT-X which is a premium channel (and costs almost 3 times the monthly anime subscription for Crunchyroll). |

Demon King Daimao is not censored on Netflix streaming. They didn't just remove pixelation, but has different animation. On Netflix streaming in the first episode a floating "humorous" censor is removed twice and twice a torn garment reveals much more than the CR version. So who is doing this? Seems to me for some Anime there are two versions. I doubt Netflix "ripped it from AT-X."

Seems to me for some Anime there are two versions. I doubt Netflix "ripped it from AT-X." Netflix isn't an illegal site (re-read my message you are obviously responding to), and they certainly didn't have it as a simulcast (as the dubbed version was produced until much later). There are indeed two versions, and sometimes three. (With some titles, changes and improvements are made to episodes for the DVD/BD release that were not even in an uncensored AT-X version). A certain definitely NSFW site has had several examples of this in the past, but here is one that is safe for all environments: http://www.animevice.com/news/bakemonogatari-blu-ray-very-different-from-broadcast/3614/ Another one (click on the thumbnails shown for comparison images): http://wiki.puella-magi.net/Episode_revisions |
