No.

If anything I would rather see an animated version of Lynn Okamoto's new work; Kiwaguro no Brunehilde.

agreed, the show was great in every way. I had no idea it was 8 years old though, the animation didn't age at all

To everyone who say that it doesn't deserve a remake: Well, it deviated too heavily and got rid of important stuff like Nozomi, so it best deserves a remake

Elfen Lied is okay the way it is. But the manga is so much more superior to the anime. I'd love it if they re-made the Elfen Lied anime, and stuck with the manga. The end of the anime didn't make me feel anything at all, but i bawled my eyes out at the end of the manga.

Spoiler from the manga ahead, you've been warned.

Why not? I may not agree with everyone else who likes Elfen Lied......but they should remake it. It'd be a great idea; you can tell a better story,
flesh out characters more.......and maybe, just a tad, tone down the violence and nudity......please.......I mean, why not, right? As someone who has seen some of the show, as well as ShortFatOtaku's review of the series, I can safely say that if they DO remake it, but with all the fixes I mentioned, it could very well be a sleeper hit, at least.

Elfen Lied is just great the way it is. No remakes, it will just ruin it.

You mean like FMA: Brotherhood "ruined" Full Metal Alchemist and Hellsing Ultimate "ruined" Hellsing?

Remakes don't automatically make things worse. For one thing, the series didn't follow the manga ending (because the manga hadn't been completed at the time). Are you claiming the manga story was inferior?

Agreed. A remake of Elfen Lied would be clearly better than the original. Concerning the dub, it had a mostly mixed reaction and If funi gets it they could make the dub better.

Just a question, but what's with you and always picking Ocean? The original dub cast is fine and I'm sure they have more experience now than they did then to make a new remake dub really great. I'd also very much like to hear Kira Vincent-Davis's rendition of Lucy again, thank you very much. I stand by my decision that a remake is unnecessary, it is fine the way it is. Also, a remake doesn't always mean it'll be the better of two adaptations. Concerning Gantz, I particularly liked the filler episodes at the end. Sure, they weren't part of the actual story but they captured the message of the show nicely. That doesn't need a remake either, despite that I would have liked to see Reika Shimohira in an animated format.

Hmmm. Well, I would like to see them go at the dubbing game again since Funi finally thinked and outsourced Black Lagoon: Roberta's Blood Trail to the original cast. Maybe I'm just speculating. Don't know but many people don't really like Houtson's dubbing (listen to their performance of Guin Saga). For Gantz, it definitely needs a remake. I was going to bet that if Geneon got Berserk instead of Media Blasters getting it (It took 5 years for that series to be released), they would have outsourced it to Ocean and release it from September 1999- November 2000.

I really liked elfen lied but i've never read the manga. If it deviated then perhaps it does deserve a remake. I hate when they make an anime before the manga is finished because the ending always suffers. I feel that this practice should stop and we will have a ton better anime rather than a flood of good to mediocre anime because a bad ending makes a good anime suck.
