My friends are interesting in their own ways. I don't really like being with my female friends much, because they are kind of boring...
I guess I do feel lonely when I can't be with people I want to be with.

sometimes, but its not because my friends have entirly different interests we still bond plenty i have nothing to be ashamed of with them even though i see them quite rarely

Well my friends know that i watch anime and i post somethings on Facebook but none of them share the same interests as me but we still get along and stuff but it is a little off putting when no ones wants to listen to you talk about the new anime that came out so you just have to sit there and be quiet.

I do have one type of loneliness going on, but I like being by myself among a small group of people. The more people around me the more likely I slink off for more isolation.
The only large groups I can tolerate are at sporting events or concerts where my attention is fully on what's going on so I'm not thinking of being in a huge group. I'm not into sports anymore, and the bands I want to see are charging $300 per ticket, so I don't go to those either.

I grew up on counter strike. Lots of people I knew there were good friends. Couple of them from the old servers even got married. I was still in high school back then so never got to go to the Real life meet ups. Couple of them are still friends, two in particular on face book.
If there were a general public place to go hang out and watch anime on a TV like a lounge, I'd totally go there. Used to hang out at a sushi bar whenever I had the morning shift, after work would go there, was pal's with the chef. They'd let me hang out while they closed the restaurant for a lunch break for an hour, got to try some amazing home cooking from his wife.
That was in Indiana. Haven't found anything quite like that in washington yet XD
Does anyone know of any hang out type places?

I feel lonely for some other reason and not because me and my friends don't share the same interrest. Everyone is entitled to have their likes and dislikes...Forum exist because there are lots of stranger around the world that feel the same as you do.
