Yeah, it's pretty creepy.

My top three would have to be Kira☆Kira, G-Senjou No Maou, and The Monster Girl Quest series. Each feature lovable characters and wonderful soundtracks, as well as pretty damn good stories. The first two are a bit low on the erotic content, but make up for it with story and and sound. While Monster Girl Quest has at least one H-scene for nearly every Monster Girl you meet as well as having one of the best stories out there.

Best VN eh?

Well lets see...

1. MuvLuv: Extra/Unlimited/Alternative- If you plan on playing this game... I will warn you... alternative is not for the faint hearted. Story line is great specially for alternative. I tell you, this series is one of probably the best VN out there specially the Alternative, with more than 40 hours of gameplay alone needed to finish it.

2. Ever 17: Out of Infinity- 30 hours of worth of very good novel! Probably the best of Ever series.

3. Fate/Stay Night: Nuff said... Do I even need to mention it?

4. Umineko naku ni Koro ni- I love the golden witch(Beatrice) and Battler duking it out. Not for those who likes nice art work... it is considered audio novel most of the time. Synopsis is only 1/8th of the story... 50 hours of exciting, thrilling game play

5. Planetarian- Very short VN, 3 hours of gameplay mainly reading... This novel is too heart touching to a point that you'll need a tissue coz you'll cry or at least you'll have tears. You won't regret playing this

The only Visual Novels I've ever played were 999 and Corpse Party Book of Shadows.

I've only played one VN, and that's Katawa Shoujo.

And that was brilliant. So Katawa Shoujo.
