Playing Kira Kira right now. It's still early in the game. Not much has happened, really waiting for something to happen. The relationships between the band members is cute.

Recently completed all 16 ending for Koenchu! (a doujin visual novel). For the price (about 6-7 bucks on http://www.dlsite.com/eng/work/=/product_id/RE087885.html), it's pretty much a steal with all the replay value it offers and not too bad storylines for each of the characters. One thing that I haven't been able to do in the game though is play the "typing" mini-game, as well as unlock it. I know it exists since I've heard about others playing it. Could anyone give me any tips on how to encounter (and unlock) this mini-game?

My favorites would have to be

1. Hoshizora no Memoria
2. G-Senjou no Maou
3. Muv-Luv series
4. Fate/Stay Night

All of these VNs are amazing, though the first two parts of the Muv-Luv series can't even hold a candle to Alternative you have to play through them to understand all of what happens in Alternative and they were good in their own right. I absolutely loved Hoshizora no Memoria, most of the characters are very likable and most of the endings left me with that hartwarming romantic feel. And I can't forget to mention that it made me cry for several hours straight.
Saya no Uta is another one I really enjoyed, I still scare the crap out of myself sometimes when walking through dark hallways, but Saya is not for everyone as the only heroine is a loli.
One other VN I really enjoyed was Sharin no Kuni, Himawari no Shoujo, a good one made by the same company as G-Senjou no Maou.

The only visual novel I've played is Disgaea Infinite, but I have seen Dangan Ronpa: Academy of Hope and Students of Despair, as well as 999: Nine Hours, Nine Persons, Nine Doors, and I am currently looking at Super Dangan Ronpa 2.
Of these, the only one I can personally recommend is Disgaea infinite, since it's the only one I've played.

One of my favorites was the Higurashi VN series. If you don't have the ps2 graphics patch it's not too good liking but it's easy enough to get the patch and install it. With all the different arcs it's really entertaining and can get pretty creepy at some points. Although I am not all the way done with all of the arcs I would recommend them to any Horror/VN fans. It also isn't very hard to find an english text patch if you end up getting a Japanese version of it.

Clannad. On the PC back in 2004. Those were the days. Before the anime and stuff.

Hrrrrnnmmm~ Well, my top two favorites would have to be,

1.) DRAMAtical Murder
2.) ”咎狗の血” (Togainu no Chi)

Absolutely top-notch games. Great stories, amazing characters, good and (sexy) CG's, cute and wonderful endings to ABSOLUTELY GRUESOME OMIGOSH endings...(lol)
They're both yaoi games. (Just an FYW)

Aside from those two, these other games I enjoyed immensely, but for all different reasons.
So it's really hard to rank them. :3

"Sweet Fuse: At your side"
"Dandelion: Wishes brought to you"
"Nameless"
"Katawa Shojou"

And although it's not "technically" a VN (since it's more so a dating sim), I have to include Love Plus! on this liiissst~!
Gaaah~ It's such an adorable game!
