Tenchi Masaki - omnipotent. Even if you argue that he isn't, he fought in space without oxygen (I believe) and escaped black hole and traveled far faster than light.

The people I mentioned are far far far stronger than Goku and Alucard. Not even death note can kill some of them.

Some of the characters like Demonbane I've never heard of before and then there are character's like Haruhi who is essentially God but doesn't know it. Beyond that though I would say Belcross from Heroic Age is the most powerful I've seen. From what I understand he basically can't die, and you can't even go back in time and stop him from ever existing, he's pretty much a permanent marker entry on that timeline, go figure, it's his power of "existence."Also there is the absurd TTGL from Gurren Laggan, I haven't seen the whole series yet but apparently that Mech is bigger than the entire Galaxy and throws galaxies as weapons, that's so big it's hardly fair to compare it to anything. A star or 14 of them could go nova and it wouldn't even notice.

lets see my legit pick. to make this choice i'll compare every anime i've seen with overpowered characters. and measure just how much stronger they are than the other peeps on their respective shows.

It comes between Mai Tokiha from My-Hime and Pikachu from Pokemon.

Mai is almost never challenged by......anything.

Pikachu defies the laws of pokemon by beating golem with thunderbolt.

Luffy!! he's suuuperrr strong.....!!!! a lot of americans dont like him but i'd have to say that if One Piece is the top in most watched anime and most read and sold manga in the world, it HAS to be REALLY good... and it is!!
