Most over-powered character in anime history?
|
Doraemon
This guy can pretty much do anything. The only flaw is that he's too slow. |

Well we have
Haruhi- Pretty much a God who can unconsciously change the universe at any time Madoka- Becomes a God and changes the very laws of the universe ... Anyone with me in saying there needs to be an epic Haruhi vs Madoka fight made sometime? |

Overpowered implies that there is some predefined baseline of acceptable (but max) power for the OP character to exceed. In many action series there are usually one or two characters that may as well be called "god" characters because they posses the power and (usually) intelligence to beat any challenge, and it's balanced by the lack of the author "tapping" (using the character to solve a problem) said "god" character, otherwise the story would cease having any form of pacing or suspense.
In any action series the OP character is the one that does the least yet is recognized by the author and characters in the world as being ridiculously strong. As examples of "god" characters, Gildarts from Fairy Tail, Shanks from One Piece, Aizen (because he wasn't defeated) and Zaraki from Bleach. Given that the title seems to be looking for the most OP in the history of anime... that would be a title that is held by an actual character that is "god" (christian definition) within that universe, but should there be a number of these characters across anime then it's impossible to tell which is stronger (and thus more OP) because of the idea of "god" being unsurpassed. |

Ok, I stopped reading all the comments because I'm coming into this pretty late, but does anyone else think Exodia from Yu-Gi-Oh is pretty OP? I mean, yeah, it takes 5 cards but still..... I'm not even sure if Slyfer could take him out......

Spoiler Alert! Click to show or hide Iihiko, the guy that apparently kils her and also ...for fair warning another spoiler... Spoiler Alert! Click to show or hide just killed Medaka as far as we know in the latest chapter. I'm talking on screen death, with half her body exploding in a sea of blood, and supposedly there is no recovery from wounds Iihiko causes. |

Sadly, I'd say edward cullen. They had a manga of it.
No matter how many people want him erased from existence, he's still there. Somehow. That's pretty damn powerfull. On a more serious choice, Lelouch. He kinda took over the world, whitout trying all that hard. And if you counter with goku, lelouch would have had goku on his side instantly if they shared a universe, making lelouch all around stronger. He basicely just mind controls anyone who fights him, Except cc and vv. Both of wich are powerless weirdoes. |

Berserk - Guts That's one big sword he's wielding (okay, no pun intended).
Gintoki - even though he get's his ass beat sometimes- he's using a wooden sword. Madara Uchiha |

Cliche but I would have to say Goku. Especially on the very last episode of the anime when he comes back without aging a day from the "Heavens."

They'll probably pull a deus ex machina out of somebody's ass, hopefully a good one. Unless... 'this' is the end, that'd suck |

Click to show or hide Kumagawa's new ability that he used on Zenkichi, as well as possibly Hansode potentially sacrificing herself as Medaka's double to become Medaka. |

Click to show or hide Ooh, I didn't think of the Shiranui option, that could definitely happen. But, similarly to what you said, even though it'd be a bummer if the tug boat of the series dies, I am oddly fine with her not being revived. I can't wait to see how this plays out, and how Zenkichi reacts. I think he's about to step up his game. |
