Our prosperity ended at the end of the 60s. Before that, America was optimistic, and trusted their government. We had the highest level of education and technology, and a comfortable life. But then the Vietnam War happened. Cambodia. JFK's assassination. Martin Luther King's assassination. Malcolm X, Bobby, the Civil Rights movement, etc., etc., the list goes on. There was also Kent State.
At least, this was what my professor told me. After the 60s, after the murders of most of our prominent figures, and after 20 years of fighting in Vietnam, our country went downhill from there. Our downhill was a bit slow, and it may have calmed down for a bit....but the effects were still there, lingering. Lately, it has been picking up momentum. I don't blame the government, nor do I blame the people. Its just the way life is. None of the great empires have lasted, and America, as or was the greatest nation, probably has a time limit as well.

nobody likes an overpowered government.
if for say the earth becomes overly populated(i know it already is but think 10x more). they will massacre us, and nobody will do a thing about it. we are protected by other nations in this sense.
but really, its all about you. make a change. with the way it is now, its no different to the Greeks and the Colosseum. brush up on history.
