According to Claps official site XXX Holic will be returning in the Febuary 2013 issue of Kodansha's Young magazine no word yet if this will be a further continueation or a special maybe relating to the new live action drama that is to air next year.

Being a big fan of Clam, I heard about this and nearly had a heart attack.

I'm really pleased that Clamp's continuing this, because the ending to the xxxholic manga was just horribly abrupt and open - it felt like anything BUT an ending.

Even so though, I WISH Clamp would finish their masterpiece, X (X/1999). I mean, its been on hiatus for 10 YEARS! Argh!! But moving on...

I really hope xxxholic doesn't entwine too much with Tsubasa. I mean, Tsubasa was okay, but the major plot holes stopped it from being great. There are several unsolved mysteries in xxxholic that I hope Clamp addresses. Like if the egg will be used on Watanuki, if Watanuki will ever see Yuuko again, if he'll ever be free from the shop and his promise, and actually get to live his life.

Most of all though, I hope Clamp gives him a happy ending.

Well, in response to magicuser360, you've got to remember that the reason why xxxHolic was so intertwined with Tsubasa is because Watanuki is actually the 'other Syaoran'...Clamp authors were really smoking some drugs in that chapter. All of it came full circle though and Watanuki let them continue on with their quest, so I wouldn't think that the entire synopsis would be on Tsubasa, just that you might have some lead ins and reminders.

Either way, if it's anything by CLAMP but we'll be amused, confused and entertained.

I thought in the end, Watanuki can come out of the shop, but he don't want to. And he still continue the shop with a hope of seeing Yuuko again. But hell, i'm waiting for sequel!

I want closure between Watanuki and Yuuko, they were such a good couple. If this return does that, I'll be happy.

Yes, I know.

I'm just saying, I hope they don't do that again, and let xxxholic stand on its on. Even if they repeat the same thing, I'll still read it. I hope Clamp gets back on track with their stories however, as their newer series (Kobato, Gate 7) aren't anywhere near as great as their old ones like Cardcaptor Sakura, X, Tokyo Babylon, Magic Knight Rayearth, etc. etc.

They seem to be missing something in their new series...
