The only one shots I ever read are the ones posted in Shonen Jump USA (or in the back of shojo manga volumes)

I've read some really satisfying one-shots before that left me feeling content. Sometimes I will be disappointed if it's very good and I wish there was more but overall it's worth reading one-shots too for me.

I like one shots because it's an outlook on new material. Some are good, some are bad, and others are just sad. At any rate, it's only a few pages so if its good, you wish for more, if it's bad, you hope they improve, and if its sad, well, you wasted a min or so reading something you should've stopped reading since the 3-5 page

In general, no. I like a good long read, and a oneshot simply doesn't have the length or time for characters to grow or any significant plot to occur. Even when a series is a single volume in length it is usually too short for me to find any interest in it.

I like reading one-shots over whole series sometimes. They can be a nice quick read, or they can be the start of an awesome series. Either way in my opinion they are great to read.

I like one-shots. It's a good break to read in-betweens if you're catching up to 100+ chaptered mangas.
It also be a good material for writing stories. It gives you ideas.

Nah, I prefer long/ ongoing manga. I just don't really feel that a manga would be able to satisfy me in a one shot. Longer manga gives it more time to develop characters and get you attached to them and thats what I look for.

Love one shots! Sachie-Chan Good!! was quite enjoyable as well as Kintoki. Of course, that may just be because I grew up on Toriyama.

I like series to be at least one or two volumes long, as sometimes a good one-shot can really leave me yearning for more content. However, if it's a well-made one shot with a good conclusion that ties up the loose ends, I'm happy to read it! Also, I'll regularly read one shots by a mangaka that I like.

Absolutely!
It provides more of an artsy feel to it. You are going to feel how the author wants you to at a point in time. You experience it how it is meant to be experienced. If it ends on a cliffhanger, it was meant to--that's it. You will never know the conclusion, and that's how it was meant to be.
I've noticed that manga sometimes gets worse with multiple volumes, too. Take Monster Hunter: Orage as an example. It started off really well, I still love the first volume. As it went on, though, it contained more and more ellipses and started to feel really disjointed.
