I always see peeps talking about anime in-game (u know, them shoutouts/megaphones)
Is it true?!?!?! are all these people u party with, the ones u trade with, and the ones just sitting/chillin' at the town's fountain potential anime lovers?!?!?
Is there anyone that actually plays an MMORPG and doesn't know wat the shiz anime is? (of course none of u guys cuz.....this is crunchyroll)

I don't think they are oblivious to the fact that anime exists, but I know plenty that do not watch anime whatsoever. Personally, I can't live without it.

Eh I play a lot of MMO's and watch a lot of Anime (I know right?) however.... I know a ton of people who play MMO's and wouldn't watch anime if their lives depended on it and have made sure to let me know at various points they pretty much all around hate it.
I will say Dahlia is definitely right though, I don't know of anyone who plays MMO's who doesn't at least know what anime is to begin with.

I did. I was in a guild in wow (when I played) , and I had a couple of the other officers of it added on myspace (remember that site? Yeah, me neither)
When I added one they got very confused on why I had cartoons everywhere, I had to have a huge discussion explaining what it was...
After I was done all I got was a "Sounds like glorified childrens cartoons"

Well your guild officers were just a bunch of poopy faces then weren't they? Personally I would remember My Space if I hadn't taken a red hot poker to all my memories of it.

In 20 years of MMO playing I've run into a few that don't care for Anime at all. But I've never encountered anyone that didn't at least know what it is, and looks like.

I have friends outside of MMOs whom have played MMOs and just don't like anime except a select few but they knew what it was. Yet I have friends that really like anime/manga and don't play MMOs at all.

I don't think it's a particularly relational thing, I just feel that it's quite common to find people who play MMOs who watch anime.
I think it's just a relation between spending a great deal of time on the internet, and watching anime. It also depends on what kind of MMOs are you talking about? As 90% of people who play on a JMMO/KMMO style of game, such as a Monster Hunter MMO; then yeah.
Most people who the above genre watch anime, as they probably got into one or the other via that.
Enjoying the art style generally leads you to look for more content like it.

alot of my friends play mmos and dont watch anime  and know alot of people in game who dont watch/Read anything so.. ye (wow player since vanilla) |
