Believe it or not, Ouran High School Host Club.
For some reason, I could not stand any character in that show except for possibly Haruhi. I didn't even get 1/4 of the way in before stopping in utter disgust of Tamaki.

Sword Art Online, but not hate, just a sincere disappointment. The first arc was spectacular, then the second arc... not so much.
If they make a second season, which they probably will, I hope it matches or exceeds the greatness of the first arc.

This one isn't recent but its my all time hated anime series - 11 eyes. Couldn't handle watching the whole series (and i "always" watch from start to finish if possible). Even to this day I shudder at the name...
There's nothing worse then a main character that is useless and constantly having the typical "im weak" complex when they have a power and do nothing with it (Hiiro No Kakera is an excellent example of this). Not to mention the lame characters, I wanted to stab the girl that starts having mental problems later in the series and is obsessed with the main character. Didn't care much for the others and the initial twist that the good guys were apparently bad just ruined it for me - they were trying way too hard

Yeah and I cant get past the fact that if the dark warriors simply explained things after the 1st one died they would have avoided everything that happened.

I can't recall disappointments in the past but a recent one: Sword Art Online. I liked the first couple episodes but it went downhill in every aspect that it became unbearable to watch, finally had to drop it after 17 episodes.

Boarding the Sword Art Online bus. I liked the first part. The second part frustrated me a lot. I did not like Kirito's sister at all. While Asuna was waiting for him at the world tree he was out farting around with her. The last two episodes were fine.

I might be the only person in the world that likes Guilty Crown, but that end was really disappointing. I've never been so desperate to have an anime change its ending.

well, I wouldn't say I hated any of the ones I watched, but there were a couple I thought I'd like but then I didn't enjoy very much such as SAO. Spice and Wolf was okay. I didn't dislike it but I didn't love it either. Some parts were confusing but I enjoyed most of it

Sword Art Online, before it even aired people were saying that it looked like the 'Anime of the Year'.

Although I found it enjoyable, it didn't really live up to its hype.

Hate is such a strong word, but not strong enough to describe how I feel about Eureka 7. People talked about it being a classic so much that I had high hopes for an epic adventure. This is the only anime I could watch and instantly feel sleepy. I forced myself to give it another shot, but all feelings were the same. If C-Span were to start broadcasting anime, I think Eureka 7 would be the first license they pick up.

None, every anime I've watched has had something that I liked or found enjoyable, even if it was the core story. As far as anyone that complains about SAO's structures (stand alone episodes SAO vs central story focused ALO) feel free to waltz over to Ghost in the Shell: S.A.C. and 2nd Gig and complain there too as its the same thing.

Allow me to say you're not alone Even now I still like it as a decent anime, not perfect but not complete trash either.

Spice and Wolf had EXTREMELY long dialogues. I don't hate the anime, though.

Sword Art Online kinda made me mad because Asuna was so clingy and was already talking about marriage foor when they meet in real life when they were still in the game. The first few episodes were amazing.

Blue Exorcist

This, i swear I heard so much hype for Blue Exorcist, but when I actually watched it I was very disappointed.

Monthly manga have it really hard when it comes to anime adaptations. I think me all remeber what happened to Soul Eater after the Battle for Brew. The ending was more insulting if you read the manga.

Soul Eater will hopefully get a remake like FMA did and it should be very nice (I kinda hope to see a small nod to Soul Eater Not it would be nice if they intertwined a bit).

For me real bad offenders are: SAO, Fate/Stay Night, School Days, Evangelion, Naruto Shippuden, Higurashi Kira and Blue Exorcist
