Definitely good.
Nobody gets singled out for being poor, etc. Well...not because of their clothes, anyway.

"Don't these schools already do enough trying to get the kids to think alike; now they want them to dress alike too? And by the way, this isn't new. The first time I encountered school uniforms was in newsreels from the 1940s...but it was kind of hard to make out because the narration was in German." - George Carlin

when i was in school we had uniforms. I think it was a good idea, but everyone had to look exactly the same. We weren't allowed to dye our hair, wear makeup, we had to have certain types of shoes and a 'school-approved' bag. At least then nobody judged each other, for clothes...

It's good and bad because you look more disciplined in uniforms and the bad thing is that there's no freedom of wearing whatever you want.

Good. I REALLY want school uniforms.. buying clothes over and over again is just terrible. I also think school uniforms make people look more classy and well dressed.

I believe they are good because they don't associate themselves with any status within the school except that you are a student. No stress over what to wear and you can always "customize" it here and there c;

However, I could understand it could suppress someone's creativity with how they wish to express themselves but to be honest, I would love it were a cute one. I would always be happy knowing that I belong to a good school and I wouldn't worry about what others would say because in the end it's the same as their's.

At my high school we had a 'colour code'. It usually involved about 3 colours based on the school colours and no or small logos, depending on the strictness of the individual teachers. It was a really stupid idea.

I would have preferred either a full uniform or no restrictions at all, because people still pushed the boundaries and certain people got away with it over others. Also, despite the no or small logos, it still was a competition of brands sometime. However, the public school was in a lower-socioeconomic area, so no one was wearing any brand too flashy.

We don't have uniforms and picking what to wear in the morning is a hassle. I can't imagine what it's like for girls, especially the ones who actually care about what they wear.

Also, as an anime fan I think it would be devastating for the entire industry if uniforms were to be regarded with universal contempt. With everything set in a high school now-a-days, animators would probably wither away and die if they couldn't draw short skirts.

Pretty much this, if we had Girl Skirts as part of a uniform we'd probably have more schools with dress code.
