Though since its been a few years not sure it'll be made which is sad. For the record I've seen the anime series and read both the mangas, as there are 2 that I know of. I will admit I like Kagura x Yomi but I eventually warmed up to Kensuke x Kagura xD. theYchromosome wrote: For some reason, I feel like backstories are usually more interesting then the actual stories. I haven't read the manga, but from my understanding, Yomi is the main villain, and is a villain in every sense of the word. She was also a villain in Ga-Rei-Zero, but she was also someone that you come to understand as a character. If I understand correctly, one of the biggest draws of GRZ was that you get to see someone that you've regarded as purely evil as a good guy, and then follow her descent (again I haven't read the manga, so don't trust me with this). If that's true, then that story is done, and Ga-Rei would be a completely different type of show. Based on how long Ga-Rei has been out, I doubt it will be animated, but then again, it's not like I'd be surprised to hear that it would be animated. I'd actually suggest reading the manga too since imo watching the anime gives a good lead in to the manga's story. Yomi isn't completely irredeemable in the manga and I personally think the story was well handled though I know some may disagree. It's on my list of things to do, but it isn't very high on the list, and the list is pretty long. I do want to give it a try, but I've got a lot of things that need to come first. All in all though, I do think I'd enjoy it. Well didn't want to make it sound pushy or anything just was pointing things out since Ga-Rei -verse is one of my favorites. Though I guess maybe its just the mangaka since I also like Tokyo Esp |

I would hoped they would have until I seen Alice Academy after reading the manga and it was disappointed as was with Freezing. Ga-rei would most likely be butchered with fanservice and so many changes of story that it wouldnt be bearable to watch. Thus is why I would hate to see Mx0 or even Arata Kangarari done if it was from a by fanservice fanatics and bad animation.

Lol I reckon the manga has enough fan service XD There are some, but not too much. But I can predict that if Ga-Rei was made into an anime, there are gonna be some panty shots and cleavage zoom ins, hahaha |

I loved Zero way more than the manga. Eventually dropped Ga-Rei a few volumes in. Dunno, maybe I was just expecting too much after watching Zero.

Because the difference between those two is that Ga-Rei Zero has more seriousness, in depth plot, engaging scenes and one of the most powerful and depressing endings. Ga-Rei has too much comic reliefs in it, the sad parts were not as powerful and the ending was too much of a "Hey, we saved the world. Lets chillax by gathering all our friends involved and have a picnic together." You should continue reading the manga though, there were some really good parts to it. |

Read the manga regardless of difference in tone, it's the continuation of the story after all. |
