There aren't many asian people that live around me.. I know about.. 4 other asian people that go to my highschool. That makes 5 out of like 800 kids.

Ooh this is a good question. I've noticed that too. That it seems like asians mainly hang out with other asian communities.

Other people always comment on how none of my friends are asian. But that's only because 1) Where I live there's a limited asian community 2) I've grown up in the UK so I feel more comfortable around people who are Caucasian. When I talk to people who are Asian, or more specifically Chinese, they tend to want to speak in Chinese as a sense of identity or separation from other people or just because they feel more comfortable speaking in Chinese than English....but my Chinese is crap so I can't say what I want, which makes me it really difficult for me.

Another reason I don't like hanging with fellow asians is that most of them are so bloody clever and good at everything and they're constantly competing against each other. I could do without being made to feel inferior when speaking to friends thanks.

CRAZINESS!!! I've never seen a black person in real life until I was 6.
It is true for me that most of my friends are Asian. I suppose it is because of common interest and common topics to complain about. However, I do have non Asian friends, and they are swell.

Whoa, that's incredible. I think I've seen just about every ethnicity since the day I was born, except for a Native American maybe, they don't seem to hangout in Germany

why would they have any reason too? my friends are pretty diverse and ive never seen any ethnicity group seperate themselves from the other groups of ethnicity

thats kinda a misconception. You dont neccesarily hangout with every1 who looks similar 2 u. But you do have a tendency to have a friends that are similar. Society seems to be built something like that. But its not the case always in the united states.

ppl of the same ethnicity would stick together if they feel that they know each other better and understand more clearly because of their ethnicity
