[Floor 6] «Mercury»

(100% Floor Mapped)

[Safe Area] «Luste»

As if the designer of this level had no inspiration, there is little remarkable in this level save for the fat that it is in fact, unremarkable. The ruins that are surround the area seemed aged and forgotten by people and by time. Sprinkled in amongst the ruins there are statues that rival those of the Greeks from long ago but even they seemed to be victim to the aging of this area There are three short streets that branch out from the teleportation location and each of a few buildings that stand. Everything looks like it is lightly covered in snow but just under that is sand and clay. There is no defined spot where the safe spot ends and the combat area begins due to the marked lack in difference between the safe spot and the surrounding area. The main things that can be found for sale here are well made materials such as armor and some weapons. There are some small homes that are available for cheap but even they look to be close to collapse.

[Combat Field] «Weatfield»

The unremarkable sense that you get from the safe zone is carried into the combat zone. The main area around the town is as almost as level as a ruler. In fact it is so desolate that if one were to stand on one of the few fence posts around town they could see for a great distance and is populated by sand worms the size of small children and teeth to match. Having no eyes they hunt by sound. There are also packs of deer like creature named Wild Daer that roams around. After a distance the fields stat to become more varied with hills and valleys with the largest hills appearing to be more like a mountain then a hill. The further you go into the combat zone, the deeper the snow so as to make it harder and harder to move. The creatures that live here are far more aggressive. Sand Snakes that slither just under the sand to attack roaming parties and Scorpions that sit in lairs waiting for pray to come to them, they both attack stealthily and are difficult to kill due to their armor but give great coll rewards which make them prized pray for players attempting to farm.

The sunlight was strong and Vyse had to lift his hand to shield his eyes as he took his first steps into the new area. A small message appeared in front of him that read Welcome to «Luste». As if his body knew that he was finally able to relax, he was suddenly overwhelmed with fatigue. Although his health bar was full, he hadn't slept in over 24 hours and the adrenaline from the previous battle seemed to have worn off. His vision began to swim and his eyelids grew heavy, until finally he caved in to his fatigue and bid his comrades farewell before searching for somewhere to rest.

Vyse wandered the small streets of the new 'town' looking for somewhere to rest, and eventually came across what seemed like the only inn on the floor, «Three Arrow Inn». The sign above the door was weathered, but still legible, and the door bore a coat of arms with three crimson arrows in the center. Vyse was surprised to find the interior lush and well furnished, seeing as the exterior had been left to ruin. He paid for a room and immediately went upstairs.

Once he was on his own, he removed his black leather armour and sat down on the cushy bed, legs crossed, and closed his eyes. When he was calm and had cleared his mind, blocking out cries of fatigue from his body, and began to use his «Meditation». However, he was soon overwhelmed by his weariness, and slumped down into the comfort of the lush pillows, lost to his peaceful dreams.

Once Asuna walks through the doors, she enters onto the main town area of the sixth floor. Compared to the previous floor, this one seemed rather desolate. It was as if a natural disaster had happened and wiped away anything notable about the area. However the area felt like it could be an archaeological dig site because it was full of ancient ruins. Asuna found the ancient ruins interesting because they reminded her of the Greek style architecture and statues. It looked like there were too many shops available to cater to the front liners. The homes for sale were rather cheap but Asuna decided that this was not a comfortable location to live in.

Everything lacked a modern or hand crafted type of feel. The roads were made out of sand and clay. It looked like no architect that wanted to take the time and beautify the area. The way the sun shone made Asuna put her hand up to shade her face. Right now she had to focus on healing up, getting new supplies and getting rest. At the moment she was exploring the town area.

Wolf and the group reached the portal and opened it up for everyone to access. Vyse said his farewells and went on his merry way. Wolf was distraught. He was lost and had to recollect himself. "This is where we split up," Wolf still had no torso armor but his cape held strong on his back. It was strangely cold in this wasteland. "December, huh. It's already been that long?"

"Tomorrow morning I will find a restaurant. I will send everyone the coordinates. You could either meet me there or go your own way." Wolf just needed some rest so he made this speech short. "Just don't go dying on me if you do." Wolf turned around and realized what he just said, freezing in place before putting his foot down to step. A split second later he continued moving.

Wolf searched what seemed like everywhere and eventually came across Vyse entering into a building. "Looks like he found it first, not like it matters though." After finally collapsing on his bed, Wolf replayed the entire battle. His battle schematics began and soon enough, he fell asleep.

As Galen reached the next floor, his eyes were flooded with light. He raised his hand toward his short blond hair, shielding his eyes. Galen had just spent what felt like an eternity in darkness with his last boss fight. His red dragon armor began reflecting the low setting sun, making the landscape have a golden hue about it. The system sending him a message, Welcome to «Luste». Luste? thought Galen. More like rust! The town looked like a Greek village, after the Romans invaded. It was worn down, but still viable. Galen could see a few streets extending from the center. He caught a glimpse of Asuna walking down the street in front of him, as she turned the corner.

Crap
! he thought. I almost forgot I was going to ask if she wanted to party up! Galen then began sprinting down the street, looking rather foolish with his spear in hand. The NPCs began looking at him rather funny, and Galen felt embarressed after realizing he hadnt put away his equipment. He stopped running as he reached the center of town, and ran his spear through its sling along his back to keep it sheathed.

Galen then began looking around, hoping he would spot Asuna soon. As he looked down the street to the left, he caught a glimpse of her beautiful red hair amongst the crowd of NPCs walking the street. Man, this town is kinda packed for such a small place, he thought. Galen finally found her, after making his way through the crowd. She seemed to be lost in thought, looking at some new armor at a shop. Galen felt nervous, but he didnt know why. C'mon Galen. Just walk up to her and ask if she'd like to party sometime. Oh, I mean party up sometime. He then put his hand to his head and tried to shake himself ready. Asuna, seemed to notice Galen at that moment, and turned to face him.

"Hello Asuna, my name's Galen. I was just wondering....would you like to party up?"

Galen then saw her pretty face break a smile. Oh God, please dont let me screw this up! he prayed.

Asuna notices that there was somebody approaching her. She was hoping that she was not being stalked, but she dismisses that possibility. When Galen comes up to her, she stops walking and faces him. At first she was surprised at how he found out her name, but then she realized that he was the new member that barged into the boss battle. Perhaps he managed to get a glimpse at her cursor right before she departed to the sixth floor.

Galen asked her if she would like to party up with him, meaning he wanted to work with her to clear the boss floor. Asuna took a brief second to think about it. Lately she had been soloing through the floors but there were limitations to soloing because of the high risk and high reward factor to it.

"Yeah sure why not." Asuna smiles. "Thank you for helping out at the boss fight. It takes a lot of courage to do something so risky and dangerous."

"Yeah sure why not." Asuna smiles. "Thank you for helping out at the boss fight. It takes a lot of courage to do something so risky and dangerous."

Galen felt like jumping for joy! But then he realized that might look pretty stupid right about now, so he settled on giving himself a mental pat on the back. Galen then pulled up the party menu, found Asuna's name and clicked Send Invite. Asuna smiled, and clicked Accept as the party invite appeared before her.

Galen then seemed deep in thought. He was trying to pick his words carefully. He didnt want to sound too forward; He was a gentleman, after all. But still, he had to get to know his new partner a little more. Galen would be fighting with her from now on, hopefully for quite some time. They were both going to have to be able to trust one another, because in this game, their lives were literally in each other's hands. He then remembered the inn he had passed on the way here.

"Did you want to get a drink with me?" he asked kind of shyly. "I saw a nice inn on the way here and could use the company. Since we are going to be partners from now on, I think we should get to know each other a little more, dont you think? You can continue shopping if you'd like and meet me there later, or we can walk there now." Galen was hoping they'd walk there together, but he would wait for her at the inn if she felt like shopping right now.

Vyse was awoken many hours later, the sun hanging low in the sky and bathing his room in a pale orange glow. Although he was exhausted for the previous battle, his sleep had been shallow and restless. Eventually he gave in and decided to go out. He quickly donned his black leather armour and hung his sword from his belt before heading downstairs. As he was about to leave the small inn, he passed the bar connected to the little building. He paused for a moment before deciding to go in for a drink. Taking up a seat, Vyse ordered a mug of ale and took a swig. It had been a while since he had tasted alcohol, and the virtual substitute did little to satisfy his want. The liquid didn't taste like beer from the real world. It had a fruity, slightly sweet taste, and as he took another sip he decided the substitute wasn't all that bad, even if it wasn't the real deal.

Vyse placed his mug on the bartop with a solid thump and ordered a second. He was still tired, but for some unknown reason he felt restless. However, the effects of the alcohol were starting to settle his nerves and he soon found himself drifting off into his thoughts. His silent contemplation was disrupted however when a group of players entered the small building, laughing and hollering. It seemed that more and more players were finally starting to filter through from the lower floors to explore this new area. With an annoyed grunt, Vyse finished his ale and made his move to leave. As he stepped outside into the dusty streets, he noticed the sun was starting to disappear over the horizon. Guess I should keep this outing short he thought before setting off in search of some enjoyment.

Carrying Noiki to the next level the first thing that crossed Amon's mind was "DId they build this level after the lion kingt?" The level was barren for the most part and had run down looking buildings. "I hope the next level is a beach." Amon mumbled to himself as he brought himself and Noiki to the only inn he could find <<Three Arrow Inn>>. Amon walked inside and thought it was very odd how lavish the inside was compared to the outside. He was expecting something like from an old indian movie, not something out of Kyoto. Amon woke back up from his daydreaming almost managing to drop Noiki in the process. He walked over to the desk and bought two rooms. He took the keys and went upstairs. He got to Noiki's room and laid her on the bed and put the key on the nightstand. "Maybe she isn't ready..." Amon mumbled as he walked over to his room that was to the right of hers. Amon hadn't really noticed it until then but he was starting to get really tired. Then he clocked out for the day.

Nick opened the dungeon door and awws blinded by the light that enveloped him from the new floor.
It's december and we get a dessert as playground? he thought. Not that he had any reason to complain, he'd rather be sweating then freezing.

The last boss battle was a revelation to him, that the team he was in needed to be focused and they had to work together to survive, only luck kept them alive in this battle, and nick wasn't a person who got lucky.

The new floor looked like ruins from old greek ruins, after the romans had invaded.
Yet even tough it was a dessert landscape, it felt strangly cold.
Seems like winter will be coming to this field. Even if ir's just the feeling.

He walked around the town and found an inn called <<Three Arrow Inn>> and entered.
He saw vyse at the bar but nick decided to leave him be.
It was getting late and he was exhausted.

He rented a room and once he entered it he removed his leather armor that somehow survived the battle and took a look at his sword.
It was beaten up and it's durrability was in the red zone.
So much for 5 floors. nick thought as he sheathed the sword and placed it in his inventory.

Once his head reached the pillow he was asleep.
And the nightmares came again.

Wolf slept like a baby. Although the previous battle was indeed chaotic, Wolf laid shirtless on his bed with one foot hanging off. When Wolf awoke, the first thing that came to his mind was food. He was curious to see what kind of food they had here. It didn't take long for him to scroll through his inventory and take out the basic white T that he started with when he entered the game. Luckily he hadn't sold it yet or else he'd have to walk around town shirtless, and no one wants to see his bulging muscles and deathly defined abs.

Wolf scanned himself up and down as he made his way down the lobby of the inn. He lacked armor completely. He was wearing a basic white T, basic black pants, and basic boots; all of which he started with. "I need some armor," Wolf said aloud to himself. Right before the exit, was a room to the left. It was dark with neon lights and Wolf thought he saw Vyse in there was he wasn't sure as he opened the main entrance to the outside.

This town was small. Three main streets and nothing much to do. On the first day, it was packed it people only hours later but now it seems like they went back to a different floor, leaving this place deserted to mainly front liners. Searching for both a food shop and armor shop Wolf came across a store named <<Scorpion Armor>> and walked right in, grazing his hair against the roof of the door entrance.

"What can I do fer ye?" The shady looking shop keeper said. He wore an eye patch, had long blonde hair in a ponytail that reached to the floor, and was almost the same height as Wolf, give or take a few inches. He also wore a long black coat with two swords upon his back in the shape of an X and a cigarette in his mouth.

"I need cheep armor of all sorts," Wolf said, knowing he came to the right place.

"Then ye came to de right place, stranger," he scanned Wolf really fast, turned around and showed him three items that he feels would suit Wolf. And strangely, he was right on target. Wolf, at first, wasn't sure about his new look but he knew he had to accept it. This armor contained attack power and armor piercing traits. His new hat was a triangular top hat with a dark brown, almost black look. His shirt took up his cape spot as well because of how long the dark brown leather went. Taking up two spots, it's no wonder the stats were remarkable. And last but not least, the dark brown pants with the dark gold belt.

"Poison resistance?" Wolf asked the shop keep. Scanning the traits at the bottom of each equipment. "Attack power, armor penetration, and poison resistance. I now have an 80% chance of avoiding poison. I guess that'll be useful."

"The monsters out dere ar' known fer der pois'n. Best be careful."

Wolf left the shop and a wallet that was cut in half and shortly found a place to eat. Right across the shop was a woman and Wolf spent a good time talking to her before entering the food place known as <<The Last Stop>>.

Asuna presses the accept button when Galen sent her the party invite request. She was curious on why he wanted to choose somebody like her to party up with. There were quite a number of people in the front lines that would have been exceptional partners as well. She was glad to have somebody to party up with because the floors were getting more dangerous and she would need somebody to watch over her back. There was no telling how fearsome the future mobs would be like.

"I can go shopping for items later so I wouldn't mind accompanying you to get something to eat or drink."

Since they were going to be partying up together, Asuna thought it was a good idea to spend time together and get to know one another.

Noiki must've slept for years. She had no clue when she had fallen asleep or how she had gotten in the room/bed she was in. Her health was back to 100%. She assumed that she was in floor six. With all these questions running through her head, along with the question of where her teammates were, her mind could only conjur up one simple solution that to her solve all her questions:

She'd been kidnapped by a rapist.

Now, it might seem farfetched, but it made sense to her. For the first few minutes she was awake, she just lay on her side in bed silently, her eyes wide open and staring at the wall across from her. Wherever she was, it must've been fancy- her room was a little over-decorated. Just staying in that stiff position, she could tell that the majority of the room was covered in mirrors and shiny objects.

Actually, the position she was in was extremely uncomfortable. One of her arms was behin her head, one was squished underneath her. Her legs were bent backwards, feet almost touching her back. She'd always fallen asleep awkwardly, ever since she was young. The two feelings of fright an discomfort were playing with her mind: did she want to get up and move, or stay there, avoiding the risk of her kidnapper coming in the room again. Eventually she decided to get up. She wasn't made of rubber, afterall.

Very slowly, Noiki untwisted her limbs and climbed out of bed. She looked aroun the sparkly room and sighed in relief thatsge was alone. Still in her clothes from the boss battle. Before walking to the door, she combed through her hair until it looked semi-presentable. Her reflection was on every wall.

Noiki laid a tentative hand on the door handle, and twisted it open as slowly and quietly as she could. She peeked out one orange eye, and saw that she was in a hotel. In Noiki's reasonging, that supported her theory even more. Dark wooden doors went up and down the halls, leading to two shiny metal elevator doors at the end. Noiki figured that she just had to make a break for it, and maybe her rapist wouldn't notice... Wherever he was silently watching her.

Noiki stepped one foot out into the hallway, as if testin the water temperature in a pool. She looked up and down the hallways once more. Finally, taking a deep breath, she ran.

She was down the hall in an instant, pressing madly at the down button for the elevator. It was glowing, meaning that it had worked and an elevator was coming, but that didn't stop her from repeatedly slamming her finger onto it, whispering a stream of curses at it. Finally, the doors opened, and she rushed inside. She pushed the lobby button, and then the button to close the doors. As the doors were closing, she saw the door of the room that had been next to hers crack open. Her heart raced. The doors closed a millisecond after, not giving enough time for her to see the person's face. When the elevator finally started going down, she let out another sigh of relief and leaned against the elevator wall.

As the elevator opened, she rushed out of it, and into the main floor. It was super fancy, looking like it came out of some sort of ballroom. There was a little restaurant thing to the side, where people staying at the hotel could eat. Noiki remembered the last time she had eaten, which was the Boston Cream Pie. And even then, she'd only eaten a bite. So, completely forgetting about all her rapist kidnapper fears (like the red Baka ranger she was), Noiki ordered a cup of coffee and sat down at a table. After finally getting rot he sixth floor, I was time to relax, right?

Yuuki walked behind everyone while she stepped onto the rugged street-if it could be called a street in the first place. She whistled once, feeling comfy when a weight was added to her right shoulder. One thing that she noticed as she was walking was that her breath formed tiny yet thick clouds of fog. It had already been so long. Yuuki continued along the path until it branched out, then she made a right turn. Along this road was an assortment of run-down shops and houses; almost like a ghost town that had been reinhabited. Yuuki continued on since she did not like the look of everything. As she walked, she stretched her arms and placed them behind her head, lacing the fingers as she thought. The rode seemed well traveled even though everyone had just here. The sun was still above the towering mountains in the distance, but high enough to be able to stay out. All of the people seemed to disappear and a field of wheat lay stretched before her. Tiny, miniscule thoughts that just happened to swim about in her mind, all screaming to be heard over the other.

She stopped before the vast field and watched it sway in the wind, some wheat bristles catching in the breeze and floating up towards the realistic sky that was splotched with clouds. Sometimes Yuuki wished it were real. That if she reached out to touch the wind, she would feel it running and delving through her fingers. The sunlight danced and reflected off of the level land and Yuuki resorted to sighing instead of shouting as it was much easier. She pet the chirping and fiddling dragon beside her face, liking the way it reflected on her actions by nuzzing into her pale face. Oliver's scales shone brightly in the lowering light, gold blinding Yuuki's vision slightly. Even though it was starting to get colder, since it was December, Yuuki didn't find the temperature cold; the warm atmosphere surrounding her made up for it. Looking back out at the sun, it seemed to be touching the mountains, embracing them warmly.

Yuuki pulled out the menu list and brought out the item «Ornate Cloth». It was a baby blue, soft scarf that she wrapped around her neck, and her hair bunched up around it. Looking back at the sunrise one last time, Yuuki turned around to head back to town and rest for the time she would allow herself.

"Saa, shall we head back, Oliver?"

Amon had awoken at what felt like morning. He checked the clock and it was right around 10 in the morning. "Geez why was it so early?" Amon mumbled. HE was about to turn over and go back to sleep when he heard the door next to his open. Amon slowly tried to crawl out of bed but ended up falling onto the floor. Amon checked his inventory and found a pair of shorts he had from the first floor he had been saving as a memento. After getting dressed he opened his door to go see Noiki but she was already gone but she had left her key on her side table. He looked and saw the elevator door shut as he turned around and figured she already went down for breakfast. Amon went down the stairs and started looking around and saw a restaurant that was closed last night when they checked in. He looked around for a little bit and saw her sitting by herself sipping on a steaming cup of coffee. Amon strolled over to her two person table and sat down across from her. "What got you in a hurry to get up? I figured you were gonna sleep for the next few days, not the next few hours." Amon then ordered himself a cup of tea and waited for it to arrive. "Don't eat yet either, Wolf is supposed to be finding us a place to have breakfast. "Oh! I almost forgot. You forgot this upstairs in your hurry." Amon put her room key on the table as his tea arrived. "This is place is pretty expensive considering what it looks like. I don't want to have to pay extra for another room key on your watch." Amon scolded as he took his first sip of tea.
