Just to let you guys all know that I am not a homophobic. I'm actually bisexual. So yeah. But I was watching Shinsekai Yori and wow did this anime surprise me. Sorry if this is a spoiler, do not continue reading if you don't want to know what happens. But after watching episode 8, it has mind ****ed me. After episode 7, there is a 2 year time skip. Then what happens after that? Everybody turns gay...

...really?
I was totally hoping for Satoru and Saki to fall in love with each other while watching the anime and episode 8 just ruined that thought. Funny how in an episode while they were still 12, those two were about to kiss but didn't anyway. So when do we start see these kids kissing? After they turn gay and start making out with the same gender. To be honest, I'd say Satoru and Shun's kiss scene actually turned me on, hahaha. Pretty hot. But I did not see that coming. Usually I'd prefer a girl on guy kind of crap.

Anyway that's all I have to say for it. I'm going to watch episode 9 now and lets see how things turn out. Oh and if someone has more knowledge on this anime, can you please explain to me why they did this? Because I'm really confused

Remember how their culture was conditioned? Seeing as I didn't see any straight couples in the episodes (post time skip and in the school), it can be assumed that as teens they are homosexual than (as horrible as this may sound) "grow out" of it for a more traditional life partners.

I was upstairs when I watched this episode (I was babysitting and too lazy to take my laptop downstairs when my mum got home) and I was sitting in a way she was able to see the screen. The comments were basically along the lines of "fanservice for all". Hehe.

Anyways, keep watching. The bit between Saki and Shun gets addressed.
