Both Shinsekai Yori and Sakuraso no Petto na Kanojo are 25 and 24 episodes respectively (two cour) so they will not finish in calendar year 2012. Perhaps I'm jumping the gun in calling them some of the best of 2012... that makes my list a bit shorter I suppose ;-)

Between the music and the animation I don't think any other series tops it this year. Blast of Tempest is close but then again Kids on the slope's story is different than the usual anime series, very refreshing.

iashakezula 38045 cr points Send Message: WestSide Offline	Permalink Reply Quote Posted 12/9/12, edited 12/9/12 I actually get a for your consideration memo along with the Animation magazine when the Oscars comes around .If it be for Japanese animation TV series this year , my nomination would be Psycho Pass Sakamichi no Apollon both excel in animation,art, direction , story, script /screenplay ,acting Honorable mention would be HUmanity Has Decline and maybe Space Brothers but its animation is not upto par I love SAO and a lot picked it here but its not quiet in the level of the two I nominate

Humanity Has Declined The first two episodes of SAO (if you include the rest, then it doesn't deserve a nomination) My Little Monster Chuunibyou I plan to check out Psycho Pass since I've heard good things about it.

Blast of Tempest, Psycho Pass, K (it's gotten better), Shin Sekai Yori and Btoom. 3. SAO. It started good, and began spiraling downwards after episode 2. Now I cringe watching new episodes. Can't really remember the shows past this season except SAO, so yeah.
