My grandparents love watching anime, well from the ones I've shown them. Out of the ones I've shown them my grandmother adores Bunny Drop and my grandfather likes Fate/Zero for example. The rest of my family are in the same boat or they don't stay long enough to get it watching. For friends, they don't care or they ask for recommendations to watch.

Nobody in my family watches anime but me and my little brother. My mom never cared what I watched, so I guess I got lucky. On the other hand I have yet to make a friend that likes anime, and when I do tell people I watch anime they just laugh or give me a weird look. To be honest I don't understand why? In my opinion it's better than watching reality T.V.

I had some funny reactions to it.

Me: "Hey I'm gonna watch my shit."

Parent: "God dammit Michael, I just got home, watch it when I am work. I do not want to come home and see cartoons. I want to watch the news dammit!"

Me: "Just 20 minutes Ok? Just 20."
Parent: "Ugh, FINE, 20 minutes, no longer."

Me: Le turns on anime with no starting or ending songs and auto play enabled.

*8 hours later*

Me: "What did you think?"
Parent: "Eh, was Ok. Now turn on the news....WTF! Time for bed already?"

Me:

My friends are far more concerned about my creeping and internet porn habits than they are about my interests in anime.

My roommate has strictly forbidden me from watching anything but sports in the living room when guests are over though, and after one incident which I will not go into details on i'm no longer allowed to watch hentai, ecchi, or anything that could be mistaken for hentai or ecchi outside of my room. She also now shouts at me from outside my room before walking in to see if i'm watching anything that will give her nightmares.

None of my friends are into anime. But they are into my comics, so it's a wash.

Tried to get an exgirlfriend into anime, and she was starting to enjoy stuff like Clannad, until we started Rosario + Vampire. After that she was opposed to ANY fanservice in anime. The relationship ended soon after.

My parents don't really mind but my younger siblings always give me weird looks, so once my younger sister who is 7 came over to my room and I just happened to be watching yu yu hakusho. So we watched for a few hours and she told me she loved it. Then a month later my younger cousins came over and they were playing with my younger sister when then I out of nowhere I heard my sister yelling 'rose whip' and 'spirit sword'! Lololol the little ones were so confused at what she was talking about but man I just felt really satisfied that I'm not the only one into anime anymore.

My family doesn't care. I guess supportive since my sister offered to buy me a season of Detective Conan if I wanted.
With friends, we don't really discuss anime at all. Although I think a lot of them watch.
Lastly, my girlfriend hates anime, but encourages me to watch it since I like it. When she's studying on my bed, I'll lay right next to her and watch some.

I guess I'm lucky that I've indoctrinated the vast majority of my immediate family into liking anime... Most of my friends either are anime nuts themselves, or just say 'lol, you and your anime'. Nice place to be I guess, although I do have some friends with terrifyingly draconian parents who basically just think, 'Anime? Nonsense! Don't watch that... it's a bad influence.' while simultaneously knowing nothing about it... Wonderfully ironic is it not?

That particular stigma has been around for decades, really. Much of it came from televangelists early on, and it's often been lumped in with other "negative influences" like tabletop roleplaying games, video games, movies, music, science, intellectual curiosity, and individual thoughts and opinions. They've been told what to think about it, and that's all they needed to hear to make their opinions into facts. Sad, really.

Only few people knows that i watch anime.

Moreover, i have a friend who was ultimately obsessed with anime that goes running, jumping, and shouting around.
When i got back home i saw my friend, i was like..WTF!!..she's standing on the dinner table.. ( ゚ Д゚)
That was really crazy, I'd never do that. But nevertheless, that's how some show their love for anime. Funny though.
