I was given one my Christmas gifts early, Wii U Deluxe and just wanted to give you my first impressions.
I hope a crunchy roll apps is made.
Positives
Control Pad is really nice, fits nicely in hands, very versatile. Range impressed me.
Nintendo Land is pretty fun / designed to show a lot of different ways you can interact using the new control pad.
Wii --> Wii U Transfer tool animation is awesome.
Miiverse when commenting on games mark if you actually played the game your commenting on.
Negatives
Initial System Update - 1 hr to download and install.
Unable to use Wii U Controllers (Pad, Classic Pro) on Wii.
No up-scaling of Wii games.
Observations
Wii Store is different from Wii U store. Wii store still uses points, Wii U is strait $.$$ charge.
Miiverse - A lot of good art using the draw function (vs texts) pretty impressive for posts.
Thing's I had to research
How to do Wii -> Wii U transfer of store content.

i find your review is lacking... substance. what about the games? does the controller work well in your hands? is it just an upgraded wii? like wii store is different from wiii U store how? is their more variety in apps, hows the connection with friends any good? and lastly how would you stack it against other consoles/the PC? would you rate it a 6/10 good but could be better or a 1/10 don't buy etc? these are the things that are important

I haven't purchased a wii U but one thing that kind of bugs me is a touch screen in the controller would seem to make it expensive to replace or add a second controller although the pro pad which looked the same as a ps2 or xbox360 controller seemed ok.

I would totally get the Wii U except for the fact that the Wii never impressed me with it's massive lack of games. The only games I ever bought for it were original Nintendo games and the casual Harvest Moon franchise that's actually (oops) meant for 5+. (Can't help myself, they're so cute!)
But yeah, can't say that I know too much about it either, but the whole thing about the 2 screens seems pretty distracting to me. I remember they tried to do something vaguely familiar with the old Gamecube by hooking it up to your Nintendo Gameboy and you could play the game via Gameboy. It was literally the most distracting thing. EVER. Like you just didn't know what to stare at.

Would prefer to wait for the ps4 or new xbox, since they're going to try augumented reality or possibly virtual reality with it or at least the ps4 (anyone up for SAO?)
