On the 21st, I'm throwing a party for my friends and I! Since it's "The End of the World" I wanna put on some Post/Apocalyptic Anime! So, if anyone has any suggestions, let me know! >.<
The ones that I first thought of are:
Desert Punk
Evangelion
Battle Angel Alita
The Big O
Wolf's Rain
I'm sure there's a ton that I'm forgetting but hope you guys can give me a lot more options!!
Thanks <3

Texhnolyze:
Very dark, very quiet, very beautiful, very surreal, very gruesome show. You see, the main character, Ichise, was like a rabid dog before meeting this girl, who's name is Ran. He didn't care about anything else except surviving off of animal instinct; he had little to no humanity. Well, he gets saved from death a couple of times by Ran, who is curious about him. Turns out she can see the future and that his future is him destroying everyone and everything around him and that he'll die all alone with nobody else around. Well, she doesn't want that to happen, and he realizes he doesn't want that to happen either; they start traveling around together. Ran helps Ichise become more than some rabid dog; turning him into a human being with genuine feelings and Ichise helps ease Ran's burden of seeing the future and all the horrible things in it. In the end, he decides to save Ran from her fate and bring her to a place where there is no fighting and everything is peaceful. She dies before he reaches her and in his rage he kills everyone in the room around her. He casts her remains off in a river they always talked about visiting and goes to die himself shortly after. Without Ran, he has nothing to live for and didn't have the will to continue. The world around him is also crumbling, people are committing suicide, killing each other, and going insane so humanity is pretty much done for. He slowly dies staring at a projection of a flower that Ran always carried with her as he smiles for the first time in his life. So Ran's vision of his future came true, no matter how much both of them tried to prevent it, but he died happy because he meet Ran; the most precious thing in the world to him.
Neon Genesis Evangelion:

If you want a lighter take, try Humanity Has Declined! Also, Pale Cocoon is only one episode, but it's very good.
I don't know how much of each series you're planning on watching, but Saikano takes a while to get into the apocalyptic stuff. It's all about large-scale war, but you'd have to watch a lot of it to get to the apocalyptic bits.

Just watch the history channel when it's doing the what if the world ended shows or what ever lol but for an anime marathon start off with junjo romantica I find starting it with homosexual rape would be a fun twist and then move on also u can do what I like to do with actors is create a story by strategically placing the animes in an order so it creates a story of the down fall of man kind

all i got is chaos head and angelbeats............
chaos head-
haven't seen it in a while but it was the first to come to mind
angelbeats-
basically the end of the world
everyone in the main story line are people that are dead(afterlife), some of them decide to go into an all out war with a mysterious angel that fights like the characters from "Freezing". The reason for this is that they believe god has abandoned them in their past life.
Ahem... besides my shnitty description they both have a good plot, a lot of comedy, a lot of cute moments, and best way to find how sensitive any guy that watches it is.........cuz i kno i cried sum-what for both.
