What is? Angel Beats is a happy anime. Not sad at all. Also, the characters from Freezing are much more brutal than anything in Angel Beats. |

i ment in reference to the angels skills, they might not be as violent but still unique. As for Angelbeats i kno that it was a happy story filled with comedy, but to my beliefs there were a lot of sad points.
ex) how mess up their past lives were and also the ending was kinda sad, how they all...........(not trying to spoil anything) but my point here is that all i was saying its similar never said it was "point on point" the same. I think somebody needs extra English classes.  |

Kanade's skills with her 'Hand Sonic' ability, 'Overdrive' ability and 'Delay' ability are similar to the summoning of Volt Weapons and 'Acceleration' as well as 'Tempest Turn' used by characters in Freezing, but that doesn't mean they aren't unique. Angels Beats! was meant to be a bit of everything, to try and reach out to multiple audiences at once. The whole point of those unfair lives being shown was the point of the story, realizing that life despite all its hardships is worth all the pain in the world. The ending was happy, they all passed on accepting their lives for what they were. Yes, they aren't 'point on point' the same, two completely different shows after all. Extra English classes...huh.... |

I would also go with Akira, even better if you own the Blu-Ray and watch on a nice big HDTV!
The colors look awesome, lots of detail, just looks amazing and will gather a crowd. Plot revolves around a Tokyo with civil unrest, protests/riots, terrorists! Very end of the world like. As for EoE, I wouldn't cuz some folks might not understand it or think its wierd. So definitely Akira, or also Fist of the North Star (the movie) Either way hope you have fun, peace... |
