As for Geass it does have some "feel good" parts Really... that's your reason? Cheery music? Really? So dose that mean Psycho Pass is feel good anime because they play Beethoven's Ode to Joy? |

Only DEATH can cure STUPIDITY!!

I would say Anohana is kind of a feel good anime although it does have a sad ending...

To me a "feel good" amine should ignite feeling of passion or courage or whatever it is that makes you feel good. It doesn't have to be silly fluff to be a feel good anime. FMA Brotherhood was amazing and the ending was epic and definitely made me "feel good". I suspect some of the anime people are naming make them feel good even if they are dark and depressing. Also, who can say the ending to Heroic Age wasn't a "feel good" ending to a great anime?

It seems a little ironic to me, how some people suggest code geass as a feel good anime here
I finished Code Geass last week and I absolutely loved it, I know it has lots of really epic parts and also many feel good scenes, and I think Lelouch is my favourite fictional character of all time (well at least up to now, maybe some day there will be someone even more badass) but the second half of R2 is really heavy and while I still liked the ending, it simply broke my heart. It left me depressed and crying for several days. So this anime is the main reason I started looking for a feel good anime in the first place. I'm usually more into dark, mysterious, thrilling and even a little sad animes, but right now I just really need something to cheer me up! I'd appreciate any suggestions for a good anime that isnt too sad and has an ending that doestn't make me cry out "why would you sick, sadistic writers do that to me!?!?!?!?!" |

Usagi Drop is like the ultimate feel good anime.

That was too close, you were almost a Jill Sandwich.

(Now that I've got this quote thing down! XD ) Clannad's actual ending was quite a happy one. Not including the Kyou/Tomoyo arcs, the full on Tomoya/Nagisa story ended up happy. ^_^ |

Hit me up on Xbox live. Think I'ma play MW3 while jammin' to some Muse<3

Also! Fruits Basket is a must. I've watched the whole series at least four times over. Even though to actually complete the story you have to turn to the manga, its a great pick/watch/read! I loved it.

If so is it used like in EVA, basically an opposite of joyful scene?? Maybe as an homage? |

Near the end I think, of episode 11.. when Kogami: Spoiler Alert! Click to show or hide Shoots Senguji. Not a homage, not the opposite of a joyful scene. I think it was a joyful scene because finally Senguji felt alive again in so many years; of being human as his life was scrapped in a heap of twisted metal that was his cyborg body. |

Something dark and depressing really makes you feel good. Watch shows like that then come back. |

It has been said before- many times- but I have to say...
Lucky*Star is the best "Feel Good Anime"!!! After that... Key's products- although they tend to be the saddest, they are also ironically good anime to watch for comedy (Clannad+After Story, Angel Beats, Little Busters, etc). ToraDora, of course (The ending is a little sad, but watch after credits... actually, watch after credits for every anime- ESPECIALLY Angel Beats). The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya (Hare hare yukai!). Hidamari Sketch (... I don't know- I just feel shiny inside while watching it). Hayate the Combat Butler (Poor Hayate...) Keroro Gunso (it makes us Pekopon-jins feel smart enough to out-smart any invader). Bakemonogatari/Nisemonogatari/etc. (Arararagi-san! Oops- my tongue slipped). School Rumble (a classic love-comedy). Azumanga Daioh (Yeah...) I know I've exceded 10 already, but... Seitokai no Ichizon (Nothing better than a show about 5 high-school students sitting in a room all day chatting about random topics and harems). |
