I give my vote for singing contest.

I never want to arrive. I love the ride.

Bring back some of those "watch episodes to collect badges" contests you guys used to have. You know, watch this or that series and get a random badge for every episode. Collect all the different badges and get entered for a drawing for something cool.
But, I would do that for older or catalog titles so the entire series would be available to watch. |

Taco Bell, beer, and anime... ain't life great?

I would really like a contest focused on writing...
Maybe create an episode of one of the animes... or come up with something cool using a character... As I said I am not the best drawer and feel that drawing contests puts me at an automatic disadvantage. Then when you add the people who use the computer to draw... THEY are amazing, but then, you know, my little black and white, shaded... Doesnt make the cut. lol -> I dont think a lot of people would participate in a singing contest online, although I'd try lol -> the Halloween contest was cool. -> Something quick that everyone can do and be on "equalish" grounds would be good... (but this is the real world, everyone has different talents) lol |

Maybe something any average joe can partake in that's anime related would be nice. That's not .... anime... related ? What DOES THAT MEAN. I think you read my statement wrong lol Most of CR viewers are like myself - we'll never dress up or draw. What we do do is enjoy watching anime. So any sort of contest of knowledge of certain shows or genres, quizes, tests, would probably do better then cosplay contests >_> *extreme immature moment* HAHAHA HE SAID DO DO!!!! XD sorry XD anyways a quiz, video game tournament, poetry contest, or photography contest would be fun (: |

It's been soooooooo long since I did anything on this site damn ps3 app :P

i think the contests for the most part have been great.
you should do some kinds of contests that are questions though. like think of a really though question for us to answer about an anime. for example: a question about naruto (just off the top of my head) Q: what are the names of the ninja cats sasuke visits in an old uchiha hideout? A: denka and hina. |

i'm back from hiatus!

As much fun as mainstream anime sounds for quizes and such - anyone can get that. Try using more obscure anime to make viewers possibly get out of there comfort zone in whatever genre they like and help them explore. Not Obscure like REC is *Awesome romance* but more like Toradora, Lucky Star, Maburaho, and Setokai no Ichzon - shows anyone would enjoy but normally wouldn't check out on there own.

My artistic talent doesn't extend beyond poorly drawn stick figures. And the best costume I can come up with consists of wrapping a towel around my neck, cutting some holes in a sock and tying it around my eyes, and wearing my undies on the outside of my jeans. That basically excludes me from all CR contests. So something knowledge related rather than talent based would at least grant me eligibility.

Give me more badges!!!!! The food idea was good too seeing as how you're getting ready to do a SAO contest, and somebody in that series is a really good cook. Hmmm, I wonder who that could be? = ) |

I agree with the idea of a writing contest. I thought the Sword Art Online drawing contest was fun, but I did not submit my drawing because I did not have access to a scanner. I don't mind drawing contests, but I can't submit anything and I hate to use the computer to draw.
Perhaps a contest for the best idea for a new anime or manga? A create your own script contest? Something like that would be fun. |

i like the drawing contests, i enjoy it even if i dont win, also for animes with many episodes like naruto, gintama, reborn, you could do the screenshot contest where you post a screenshot from a random episode and we have to post when it's from (episode #)

Let's try to avoid contests that require peripherals to do it. Camra, scanners, mics, ect ect.
A writing contest is also situational from person to person - we're not all grade A writers so our chances drop compared to an english major. Though it's the best idea so far. My idea would be Guess Who games. Give a small description of a character or plot and let people guess. But then that's pretty small time compared to the contests CR has offered thus far. So perhaps writing is the best choice. Would like to see more ideas centered around knowledge of shows rather then relying on any skills or talents to win. |

Easy, making character bentos.
That ones from FFXI and is a moogle, it has the Japanese theme to it (quite important) and a touch of creativity (quite important) and can be done by anyone without any artistic talent, or even a talent for cooking (very important) and once you're done with the competition, you get to eat the bento. Moogle Bento was made by Pikko. |
