People assumptions are hilarious. People judge, assume and just have to put it in a class so they can move on.

Memorable experiences are when people assume I have brown skin since I'm Hispanic, but when they see my real skin color they're shocked. People are surprised all the time when they find out I speak Spanish very fluently, or that I'm not a "muffin-top Mexican". Although this is all online. I am fortunate enough to have been raised in a good neighborhood with other Hispanics. My school district has about half White people and the rest are minorities. My group of friends were pretty diverse. I had 2 White friends, a Hispanic friend, and a Filipino friend.

All in all, at my part-time job I just ignore the comments people make when they're surprised I speak Spanish or that I'm not loud like Hispanics are sometimes seen.

Although my most strangest experience was when someone thought I was Jewish. It has nothing to do with this topic, but I just found it pretty random.

Edit: I forgot to clarify, people are surprised I speak Spanish since they assume I'm White. Although I can't blame them, a lot of my ancestry is from Spanish decent.

What the hell is a "muffin-top mexican"?

It is stereotypical for people to believe Mexican women are all overweight and have an obsession with tight pants, hence that is formed.

Edit: Sorry removed the link, just Google "muffin top".

Lol I know what a muffin top is I just wasn't aware that this was a stereotype that had been developed for Mexican women

We all learn something new everyday. Honestly I'm surprised you didn't know, from what I've seen the majority of people stereotype Mexican women like this daily on the internet.

i'm not a foreigner so this doesn't happen often in the Reallife, but when i play onlinegames i happens 24/7. "U'r german? Do you like Hitler? Are u a nazi?". Stuff like this really pisses me off, since the Nationalsocialism is nothing to laugh about.

Yeah a lot of times, it cannot be stopped though. People will ALWAYS stereotype and assume things.

I don`t even care any more, I know myself more than anybody else in this world so why would stereotyping something false to describe myself affect me hahaha

Plenty of times as a black female I've been stereotyped and had jokes made about. Ex. " You like grape juice, right?" or "Pat yo weave, gurl, pat yo weave ." ( That one I find rather funny for some reason). And then there's the other blacks at my school, that call me an Oreo because I don't 'sound' black and I'm some honors classes and band. I find the whole ' you gotta act X to be considered X ' thing bullshit.
