Only once.Actually, I don't even know if I can consider that a stereotype. anyway.
At the end of the last semester in college, I was talking with a friend of mine and we wanted to go relax on one of the couches in the hall. So, we went there and saw a group of 10 or 12 black dudes around the ping pong(table tennis?) tables. These dudes also put all of their stuff(food, bags, books and basket balls) on all of the couches, so we couldn't sit.
I went up to one of the guys and I said: Yo dawg, my friend and I would like to sit there for 15 minutes or so. Could you put your bags away for a little bit? That'd be cool man.
He responded, and I quote: Nigguh?! you bitchy ass cracker, why you bitchin at us like that? these bags are ours dawg, they aint not yours. we be putting our bags there if we want to, little nigguh cracker dawg. Go away or I'll make you drop the soap.

We left the hall after that.

Fair to say, and I won't lie, whenever we see them, we don't approach them. I'd hate to drop the soap. But I still laugh every time I see them though.

Good ol' Quebec colleges.

Just a curious question not really meant to cause chaos. I have been racially stereotyped when I was in 6th grade. A white kid asked me why I talk like a white person. I got kinda pissed but since we were in PE, I couldn't really focus on talking to him.

I also remember one time I was thought to be Asian, though it makes me laugh when I think about it now.

Girl: Are you Asian?
Me: No.
Girl: Are you sure you don't have a long lost Asian father you don't know about?
Me: I'm pretty sure.
Girl: Isn't she like my twin?
Her Friends: No.
Me: ......

This makes me laugh somewhat to this day.

Has things like this happen to you?

Please lock up if duplicate.

I get stereotyped too many times a week. Whether it be my skin color, my clothing, my words, my thoughts, my kinks, or my bank account. in my own household and out in public.

Oh to many times:

"Who that guy running the ball so fast, he must be black"
"This guy is black with white clothes on"
"He plays three different types of sports, must be black"
"Having trouble with a question, must be black"
"What types of Kool-Aid do you love?"
"You must live at KFC"
"You know black people are good at football and basketball"

Like come on people, this is getting redundant.......

As a racial minority, yes.

I'm unable to walk up to people at an Anime convention and have a conversation with them if they have skin of a lighter shade than me. They don't talk to me.

I once had a good friend back in High School. He always talked about another friend he had, one who had similar taste in anime, games, and music.

The primary difference between his old friend and me, was I'm a Minority, and his friend is racist. I'm not talking the funny hahaha racist, I'm talking the avoids any conversation with someone who's not as white as cotton. Now he was from Arizona and I heard bad things about that place, but seriously? I couldn't strike up a conversation with him to save my life.

Then you have a Korean guy I know. We called him Brandon, but he was 100% South Korean. The only thing he ever said to me, was that he's not from North Korea. I went to school with him for 8 years, and according to people I knew, he was usually outgoing and sociable. But he would always get quiet and not speak around me. Similar to the previous example. He knew I wasn't mexican, I was half-asian. Full Asians often times don't like half asian.

I'm somehow extremely attractive to black women, and white women have an odd disdain for me.

It's safe to say I've been racially Stereotyped a few times.

My sister's able to pass for white, and often gets this line when she talks to someone new
"Oh I thought you were Asian, but you speak like you're white"

its happened to me. a class mate found out i was half blackfoot Indian. at first he thought I was black. then he started making crazy indian noises like the natives did in the old days dancing around fire. I didnt get offended, i laughed a little. Those crazy noises he was making was more funny than him stereotyping me.

I had this white friend one time. He asks me tons of questions about academic topics.
Another white friend too, he thinks I'm one of the kindest people coz I'm Asian.

those whites who judge me by my race are a bunch of assholes.
they miss out the best of me. I'm a rly funny person to be friends with.
too bad for them.

hellllll yes lol i go 2 a public school in city so its mostly every race but barely any Caucasians, in which i have white skin (im black, white, italian, and puerto rican) but because i have white skin its automatically "Whatup cracker?" or "yo you lost the country side is that way"

Haaaaa, this is me. My mother is of Puerto Rican descent, my father is Irish, Polish and German mainly. I look almost entirely Caucasian to most people, and I grew up in an area where that was not the majority, so I got dumped on a lot for my race. Actually, technically speaking, I guess I very much was the majority, given my Hispanic background, but no one else ever sees that. So it was always white this, honky that. I've gotten my ass kicked because of it.

Past that? I'm not even going to pretend, looking white has probably helped me elsewhere. I grew up around racism directed at me, and have dealt with it many other places I go in my adult life, but I'd be foolish to think that I haven't also had people assume I was more approachable, or on the up and up and not a threat to them because of it. I had a shoplifting problem when I was younger and I'm sure I would not have gotten away with it as long as I had were I not at all white.

I guess all of that qualifies, yeah?

I've always been asked if I'm good at math, since I'm Asian. Well, yeah, I guess I actually am though.

I've also been asked if I've eaten dog because I'm Southeast Asian (Filipino). I haven't. I've only been asked this once though.

I have been a victim of discrimination though. I was told I couldn't eat my lunch in a parking lot by some rural white folk because I had brown skin, and they proceeded to spit on my car and tried to break my windows. Oh well.

That's freaking horrible. I have had something done similarly. Like what the hell?

Right? It perplexes me when someone goes out of their way to cause racially-charged issues towards another person. I wasn't bothering them, they weren't bothering me until they decided to cause a scene because I'm brown.

I have, but it was all in good humor. Even I would joke about my racial stereotypes at times. But I never knew anyone who looked down at me because I was Asian.

A few times, but never has it affected me negatively. I usually just laugh it off. A more memorable example would be when a police officer saw my family at a public park docking the boat that we had rented, then proceeding to get angry with us under the assumption that we were mainly unintelligent and illiterate Hispanics. That guy got suspended plus my family is Indian, so go figure.

Well, I'm a black man who lives in America...so do the math. I've been stereotyped by other black people, white people, cops(so many cop stories), and I'm sure countless other people who I just stopped paying attention to after they say something stupid. The stereotypes range from truly bizarre to the sadly stupid and ignorant. I generally just shrug it off and move on with my day.
