Well... I've dated guys that I didn't particularly want to date in the first place, and that takes like a day.
But the guy I was with for 2 years took me about 2-3 months to get over enough to the point where I wasn't producing a river of tears anymore.

Depends on how close I was to the person, if they were still a stranger to me, eh maybe a day, if I sacrificed everything just to be with them, um...I don't know, but it maybe a LONG TIME.

If you really loved the person, then it will take around six months to get over losing that relationship. It has nothing to do with being able to date again. It just means it's affecting you mentally for about six months, making you feel more depressed than usual and such. Deciding when to date again is just personal choice.

Around 8 minutes. Sure you feel bad but its better to get over it and move on so you dont miss a good opportunity while wallowing in heartbreak.

Seven or eight months. It really depends on how close I was to him, but then again, if I wasn't too close to him I wouldn't approve to date him, and I wouldn't even ask him out, so...

It depends on how serious the relationship was and how the break-up occurred. My very first boyfriend was a serious relationship and it took me a long damn time to move on, almost a year. But our break-up was super intense too. Second boyfriend wasn't as serious (he was a major douchebag) so I was over him in a week, maybe two tops.
