How I think others see me: I have been told I am exceedingly "nice" almost to a fault. Not just nice in my comments, but encouraging, generous, overly helpful to the point it makes more work for myself, naïve (sometimes) and a pushover, easy going and therefore easy to work with on projects. I am trusted. I have been told I am extremely funny. I am not the center of attention, but I am always "there" in the background.
How I think I really am: I think I am nice, but also calculating. I know what is expected and how to work it to my favor. I am NOT naïve, but I am sometimes gullible. People think I am funny, but my facetious comments are usually exploiting the truth as thinly veiled jokes, and I think they just aren't intelligent enough to catch it. I do think I am better or above my line of employment, and smarter than those I work with.
I think I am kind of evil actually, but I don't hurt anyone purposefully. And while I work my tail off when on the job, I am a lazy somebody at home and not at all organized. I am a procrastinator. I have no friends except work acquaintances, and none of them have ever been to my house in the 5+ years I have known them, but I have been to their houses and out to different functions with them. I don't trust others as easily as I lead others to believe I do.
My husband sees me for what I am, and loves me. But we are similar, so maybe that is why.
I am probably harsh in my description of myself though as I have never had a great self-image...
