You have Gundam Seed, Gundam Age, Gundam OO, Gundam Wing and blah blah blah. Probably the animators of 009 might have a shot

I really hope they continue with the U.C. era. The original Gundam and Zeta Gundam are by far the best Gundam series imo. The fact that the characters are developed across all the U.C. series, for such a long time and in such great depth, makes it the most engaging and believable era. Unless a new era is created that has as much depth as the U.C. era, I would prefer to just see more U.C. content.

UC still has life left in it but it has been done to death. It's starting to step on its own feet now.
Really, even AU series borrow a lot of content from UC. Gundam isn't a very "original" show anymore like it was in the Tomino UC timeline. I doubt it ever will be again since if you wanted to make a Gundam series entirely new with no homages to the Tomino UC timeline...you may as well just not make a "Gundam" show at all.
But, that said, I would like them to keep making Gundam series. I like both sides; the creative twists on old plots that AU brings to the table and the nostalgia that UC offers. I'm looking forward to more AU in the future but I'm also really anticipating this "Gundam: The Origin" (a literal retelling of the original 0079) animation they're supposedly producing.

Although I love UC, I honestly think outside of sidestories they should steer clear of UC. I'd say Gundam Unicorn marks the end of what I'd call the real Universal Century, where the stories have ties to other stories from the days of Char and Amuro. After that the stories really don't reference that stuff anymore, and it really feels as if they might as well be in an alternate universe. The main advantage of UC is the incredibly deep political background, but once you get into the era of F91 and Victory which any new show would likely have to place itself in, it no longer has much in common other than generalities with the former background. And by sticking to UC it gives you the unfortunate disadvantage of making it harder for newcomers to get into Gundam.

In my opinion Gundam would be much better off creating a new series and universe that strayed from the norm. All the shows that people tended to dislike like Seed, Destiny, and the 2nd season of 00 tried to replicate the same circumstances as in old UC shows but ultimately failed. I'd prefer to see more shows like Gundam X or Turn A. However, those kind of shows don't bring in ratings or model kit sales, so I think it's most likely they'll continues with UC, continue with Seed, or create another AU similar to Seed.

Yeah, I'd love it if Sunrise creates a new Gundam TV series that takes place in the Universal Century. Maybe they can make a new one that takes place after Victory Gundam and establish the premise for U.C. 200+ or something. Perhaps by that time even GM-based grunt suits are equipped with Minovsky Drives.

Well my favourites are the Gundam Seed series and the Gundam Wing series. Other than that the rest of them have been subpar and not that good.

The Universal Century timeline in the Gundam universe has produce some of extremely interesting plots and character such as Aumuro Ray, Char Noble and has a lot more to contribute to the Gundam franchise. But if any new Gundam is developed and takes place during the UC timeline it must be done with the best writers with extensive knowledge of the UC story arc. That being said I throughly enjoyed Gundam 00 I would love to see more from that era personally.

Completely agree with you, love the U.C. era wished they would just stick with that timeline.

People seem to dislike Gundam 00, Gundam Seed, Gundam Seed Destiny, and some totally devoted to the UC era dislike Gundam Wing. The UC era has the potential to give the Gundam universe more content but there must be continuity for example because Aumuro Ray's death he was not featured in the Gundam Unicorn. There must be communication between all the parties involved if the UC era is to continue.
I would love to see more from the Gundam 00 and Gundam Seed&Seed Destiny universes.

I really liked gundam wing and gundam 0083 stardust memory...... beyond that all the alternate stories with parallel universes make it very confusing to get into. That said a continuing story would be good for existing fans while an original story would be nice to draw new fans in without them having to worry about knowing all the existing history and being robbed of the viewing experience since they didn't watch show so and so.
