I'm not a fan of either gender swearing profusely. I am a believer in Malcolm X's idea that people swear when they dont have enough of a vocabulary to express themselves.

Yeah I dunno about that, it takes a pretty decent grasp of your chosen language to be able to swear in it and have it still make sense, not to mention that some people can get pretty creative with their swear words.

Everybody has done it at some point, either from a response to a mishap, sudden rush of pain, ect. The thing is, you can't really gauge intelligence just off of speech alone. It's only just a small part of the personality.

Yea, my boyfriend isn't a big fan when I swear. I think most guys don't like it when women swear because it's rude and there are plenty of other words you can use to express your feelings with besides curse words.

I like to swear a lot but it doesn't seem to bother anyone. I'm not trashy about it, I just use it to express my feelings. Don't get me wrong though, it's not like I swear every 5-10 seconds.

It doesn't mean I'm any less of a classy person, I'm actually much classier than the majority of those at my school who don't necessarily swear but do other things like talk about other people behind their backs, or act like total tramps just to get attention.

I personally only really swear when I'm getting beaten up in Mario Kart or when something stunning happens in an anime...

But when it comes to how a woman swears, they can't be throwing out f-bombs and bad stuff like that with every other word. That's just going overboard. The only sense that swearing makes is when it makes sense to use it. Like if a woman were in the same situation as me, like if something happened in a game or a show that caught them by surprise or made them mad. Or whenever it calls for it.

Even as a guy, I generally try to avoid anyone--man or woman--who swear up a storm. It's just not classy, it makes them look trashy, and it makes them seem like bad people overall. Honestly, many people who are like that are. Not all people who talk like that are terrible people, but lots and lots of them are.

It's situational for me. I personally will very rarely swear within knowing earshot of young kids, or those who I know will be offended - particularly older relatives. It's mostly out of respect, in those cases. Outside of those circumstances, I will swear whenever I feel like it. It's never a constant thing for me, however.

That said, as long as she's not consistently directing her swearing at me, swearing so often as to cause drama around the other people I care about, or swearing in situations that escalate to the level of public embarrassment...I think it's fair game, and I won't mind it.

Swearing comes off as... not so classy, personally. However, why should I care what men think? Or for that matter, other women.

I personally hate swearing at all, because I don't see it as attractive or an effective way to get one's point across. My boyfriend though, somehow convinced me to say the f-word when it's just us, but sometimes it's really embarrassing so I don't say it very often.

I have no issues with either gender swearing. I swear everyday. I make sure I swear 20 times when I get up and brush my teeth in the morning. It makes my teeth whiter.
