It's really immature, for either gender to swear all the time... I'm sorry, it does NOT make you look cool doing that. I'm fine with cussing every once in a while if there's a need to do so. I've been known to do it on occasion as well. I used to swear a lot when I was younger, but at around the age of 18 I realized just how stupid it sounded. If there's a reason, go for it. If you're just cussing every other word just to do it, you look dumb. I'm sorry to say, but it's true.

Its not always about "looking cool" though... Some people are just more comfortable splashing color into their dialogue. Swearing can add emotion to a statement that might otherwise be devoid of emotion and sometimes that just may be the vernacular of preference for the speaker.

Well... I do swear quite a bit myself, but that's ONLY when I'm by myself, when I'm hanging around a bunch of friends (who are guys), or when I'm really angry (or a combination of the 3). Other than that, I try not to curse too much. It does show your intelligence and your vocabulary selection if you're swearing every other word (even I don't do that). But like others have said before me, it's also about context. If she's angry, then it's perfectly understandable, but if she's trying to set the mood or flirt, then no, I would find that rather unattractive. If she was just normally talking to me like that, she sounds more like a drinking buddy than a love interest. Some people are interested in (female) sailors though because it's comfortable to have someone you can curse to and someone who curses back lol but yeah, plenty of people in the world who might like that, I am not one of them

A couple of things to think about, swearing has less effect the more a person swears. We all know people who don't swear often but when they do everyone take notice. For the person who rarely swear that is effective. However for the person who always swear, those words have no meaning, what can that person do, double double tripple swear? Swearing often just shows that the person has limited ability communicating without shock words.

Now for girls and women swearing. There is a mathematical formula that have different values for each person but for men it goes like this. The more beautiful the woman is the more he is willing to put up with her behaviors which can be and cursing among other things. Swearing is just one of those things that men will put up with. There are many more things that men will find even more sexy such as flirting and then again the more attractive the more effective.

Woman swearing does have benefits in the work place. Those who do swear and swear often are avoided by their peers and are not given an excessive workload. However they are avoided and seldom befriended by their peers.

Girl or guy, there are some people that swear well, and other people that, simply put, annoy the shit out of me. I disagree that swearing is a matter of vocabulary, mostly because I know a lot of smart people that swear quite beautifully. Someone swearing every other word might be a sign of bad vocabulary, but I'd also say that saying "like" every other word might be a sign of bad vocabulary. Swear words are words too, and as such reflect a certain meaning. Your abilities as a communicator depend on your understanding of the words' meaning, and your ability to express that meaning to another person. So all in all, if a girl swears, then the effect it has on my opinion of her is the same as the opinion that I get from her using any other word -- it depends on whether she uses well.

I once knew someone that put the word "essentially" before every other sentence, and I can tell you that it sounded way more immature than swear words, and exponentially more annoying. The problem isn't swearing all the time, it's using the same word all the time. Like you said, if there's reason do it, if you're just cussing every other word just to do it, you look dumb. The same applies for any word.

I used to swear every second or third word, but for the last year or two, I started watching anime and other T.V. shows with subtitles.
This enlarged my vocabulary tenfold. I wish more kids/teenagers would do this, but then again.. People are becoming more and more useless with every passing year.

I don't mind either way. I've been known to swear a ton when I'm mad or excited about something, so if a chick does it, I'm cool.

I don't care for it very much when anyone is using a swear word every other word in normal conversation. It doesn't bother me when someone curses because they are upset, messed something up, or being competitive during a game but it's not something I want to hear at dinner, very uncouth.

I'm not going to say attractive, but i wouldn't care if she's funny and doesn't use it for absolutely no reason.
