Why should I care more if it's a woman swearing or a man? I don't mind casual swearing. Dumb thread.

Every now and again is completely acceptable, when it is excessive though, not so much.

It depends in what way and how often. I mean, I wouldn't like it if they were swearing like a sailor that would be quite a turnoff. However, if she never ever swore, then I'd think she's a prude or something.

My fiancee probably swears more than me (and I swear kinda a lot myself) not like every other word though. But in Finnish culture -swearing isn't all that rude behavior. In a casual life/situations mild swearing isn't seen as vile behavior but it's a different case if you're in official situations.

Nope, definitely not attractive. It's frightening. lol. If she swears like crazy, thats a major turn off. Me, personally, I only hang around girls who ony say a swear word maybe once or twice a week (at least when Im around)

I have always found it highly offensive, it's very vulgar for either men or women to do so, I haven't sworn in 19 years and have no intention to ever do so again. I had never thought I'd meet a woman who swore more than any man I've ever met in my life. I was wrong however, I've met women who swear far more than any man I've ever seen.

Whether from a man or from a woman, habitual swearing is a sign of low class as far as I'm concerned. Sure a word or two may escape any of our lips if pushed to it, but I'd consider that a momentary lapse in character and not a sign of sophistication (the latter being something I thought in my younger days). "Coarseness is not a substitute for wit," to paraphrase (I'd swear this quote is from David Niven's character in The Guns of Navarone-- at least that's where I thought I heard it first-- but I can't find any reference to this quote at all as to its actual source!)-- if you've something worth saying, you can do it without sputtering obscenities, and you'll likely get a better hearing and be taken more seriously as well.
