That's the thing, we AREN'T the same. Men and women are fundamentally different.

Women can tolerate pain better than men, BUT, they have more pain receptors so they have to tolerate more of it. Which leads to the stereotype that men tolerate pain better than women.
Sure it doesn't hurt us as much, but here's an example why: On average, women have a whopping 34 nerve fibers per square centimeter of facial skin. While men average a mere 17. |

I don't think the idea of this thread was a discussion no what is physically and biologically different between men and women.
The idea is that men and women are equal (or at least should be) in terms of sociology and respect. While many people won't agree with this, mainly the feminists that think men sit in corners scheming as to how to degrade women - it is for the most part true. In the modern world men and women have equal opportunities. In reply to a post I saw on the first page, that said the only reason the most successful people in the world are men is because women are subject to sexual discrimination - it isn't only women who can be sexually discriminated. Saying that is the equivalent of saying that only white people attacked black people is racist, but the other way round it's just violence (which seems to be a common viewpoint unfortunately). I for one have experienced sexual discrimination myself, and I am male - I worked as a care assistant, looking after psychiatric patients, and then when I left that, I attempted to get a job as a general care assistant in a normal nursing home while waiting to begin studying animation at college - I cannot tell you how many times i was rejected on the grounds of being a male in a female dominated industry. |

Nothing comes to mind other than a lack of understanding the truth about it; which could lead them to jump to conclusions since many of us like to make sense of the world around us. There are many physical differences though as far as abilities and balance goes but the things that many people say about the opposite sex is not true. (like all men or women cheat, like football or like TLC "reality" shows, etc.)

This thread was established for topics such as: "Most guys are horny - Agree or disagree?" Sorry for the misunderstanding. |

I think it's more of a "stupid threads" issue than it is sexism. And this website is considerably plagued with them.
It's like the forums are still in the mentality of being the anything goes pirate site of a few years ago instead of the burgeoning mainstream streaming site that it is today. They sort of clash with the rest of the site. I would probably pull my subscription because of this if it wasn't for the fact that the CS reps seem to be pretty respectable. And the mods, while periodically lacking in professionalism and maturity do a fairly good job. |

Well you can't expect a whole heck of a lot for quality threads when the majority of the users are under 18. :P
They're to busy making threads about titties and groups about having cybersex and hentai. |

Hmm I think its might have something to do with the age of the typical original posters of these threads. Now this is only anecdotal but most of the threads that I've seen are typically started by people of an age range that are encountering "firsts" of varying natures in their lives. Because they don't have much experience with the subject they tend to only see things from a limited viewpoint because they have never seen the other side of the coin. So when someone first has a direct or indirect experience with say cheating, for instance, their initial experiences color their views, and confirmation bias tends to reaffirm them, until they have gained enough experience and wisdom to take a more objective stance.
