Women can tolerate pain better than men, BUT, they have more pain receptors so they have to tolerate more of it. Which leads to the stereotype that men tolerate pain better than women.

Sure it doesn't hurt us as much, but here's an example why:

On average, women have a whopping 34 nerve fibers per square centimeter of facial skin. While men average a mere 17.

So Tiresias was right.

At first I just thought they were for fun, but then I realized that people actually get offended by them -_- I see why, but I've always taken it as a joke. Not offensive. But I guess that's for each person to decide. I don't know why people would make them unless for the laugh of it, I personally don't go search these kind of jokes, but I must be honest some are pretty hilarious-.-

No offense though xD

They're just pointless and stupid threads by people who are emotionally distraught at that moment in time. I bet after a week or so after they typed it, they look at what they started and say 'wow, did I really type that?' ... There's definitely more than one reason though, that was just one of the many. It could be that people are actually looking for answers to their questions, some people could start threads like that to start a gender war, other people just do it for the dumb and silly fun because they can, and of course there are trolls who create threads to get a rise out of people. Overall I just view it as pure immaturity and ignore them. This isn't Elementary school anymore, why are people still creating the "Girls have cooties" scenarios with both genders? Most users on here are mature enough to know what's immature and what's not (and of course the trolls who have nothing else better to do).

Every time I see one of those threads I can't help but laugh...it's just pointless in my opinion. Of course there are gonna be people who generalize an entire gender such as 'why do all men cheat?' and so on and so forth. Sometimes people get seriously offended by them. All I can say is: simply ignore them like I do, no need to give yourself extra frustration in a pointless conversation where war of words are happening.

but from what I've seen, most people before me gave better answers. So I agree with some of them as well.

This site is full of silly people making silly threads.

^ This is basically it

People use this Internet anonymity that online forums provide to post things they normally wouldn't. basically once you're on the Internet, everything is thrown out the window

Yup! I agree with that. Because they can say things they never would have in real life, they hope to get it out on the internet in the form of threads.

The forum's more in regards to the topics I've seen on Crunchyroll such as why do men do this and that.

Threads that stereotype women get deleted. Threads that stereotype men don't get deleted.

Mystery solved.

Lol the world is full of people looking to be offended by something. It makes me laugh. Just think how much better our lives would be if we didnt stress over or get all upset over a simple joke meant to be harmless. Hell if one has the capacity to comprehend this, What if no one took offense to it and just laughed it off wouldnt everyone be able to tolerate their days a little more? The way i see it is complainers just have something stuck where it dont belong and it itches like hell and have to grasp something to share their pain with somone else for a few moments. People just need to grow up and stop treating life like high school because that so called big drama of your life isnt so bad once you try to find a solution that you can fix and not try to blame it on somone else or make it everyones problem.

Why do people feel the need to establish threads that either criticize or stereotype a certain gender?

I don't get offended by stereotypes. They amuse me more than anything.

The only place sexism bothers me is in the workplace, same with discrimination - but that's because it's about money and what I'm living off of, and how I shouldn't make more/less because I'm female/white (huge issue in which non-white females are taking over the job market where I work...yet oddly the males still get paid more).

Necros are awesome :3

On a side note, we are not all the same. stereotypes tend to exist for a reason. People tend to only see the disadvantages to their situation, and not their advantages.

Some even go so far as to dislike their advantages that they did not create themselves.

You got three options.

1) Live in the world as it exists
2) Tell everyone that the world, and in turn, they, are all wrong and don't know anything
3) Try to see the world from the point of view of reality, and understand it's justifications, and then acknowledge those justifications while suggesting new ways of thinking.

The best way to alienate people is to simply tell them that how they think makes no sense. People, and by extension, persons, are intelligent and logical beings. If you honestly don't know why they do something, you can't change it. Part of understanding how they think is accepting that they have a reason to think that, however poor that reason is.

You can't change the way the world works, but you can change the reasons for the world being the way it is.
