Men and women ARE different. To state otherwise is absurd. A toddler in the bath can tell the difference.

Beyond mere external physical attributes, allocation of "grey" and "white" matter in the brain, the arrangement of rods and cones in the eyes, and most certainly hormone production all differ greatly between the genders. Much of the personality is formed through personal experiences and memories and these differences in perception most definitely color the way men and women view the world. Add to this numerous cultural norms which are adhered to from birth and males and females become quite different.

It is not sexist to point out a difference -- it is only sexist to make choices based on on personal bias.

Not to avoid sexism, but to be completely fair and realistic, one should simply ask "Why are all people so unpredictable?"

Why do people feel the need to establish threads that either criticize or stereotype a certain gender?
We're all the same regardless of gender.
Anyone can do anything.

Hey, I take offence to that!

Let me throw this poll into this thread...

Crunchyroll - Which Gender are you?

If you take a look at this poll, and then subtract 25% of the votes from the girls side, because they're probably Guys in Real Life, the amount of girls on this website still towers over the amount of boys on this website (unless for some reason girls just take a bigger liking to polls than boys). And of course, everyone has relationship problems or general questions of curiousity about how the opposite sex might act. That being said, it makes sense that more of the "sexist" threads on this website are posted by women, aimed at men. I mean, it's no big deal, even I reply to them, people just want advice, or they're just curious. What harm's done, y'know?

Now, whenever there's a thread that says, for instance, "Why are all men jerks?" That makes me upset. Not every guy is a jerk, just that one guy who "ruined your life" is a jerk. Don't assault all guys for that one dude's flaws. That's unfair. Those are the kinds of threads I don't like.

That poll is far from accurate, as is your 25% assumption.

You can assume many things, but without real data, you can't claim any facts. There are many possibilities, like maybe women like taking polls more than men. If you took a poll for that, I'm sure the numbers would be very similar.

If you look at women's magazines, you can see that women's magazines have many polls and tests about relationships, food, ect.
If you look at a men's magazine, there are far fewer of these.

Not saying that this is the case, as I don't have the facts, but it could explain the lopsided results.

Men are stupid, girls are perfect.

That isn't sexist, that my friends is just pure unadulterated fact.

Sexist is really base on the readers' perspective. Basically, if you feel it is sexist, it is not necessarily sexist for the rest of us. I do agree that there are some comments that are outrageous and a good majority would agree it is sexist.

I shall start it off:

Why do men cheat on their wives?
http://www.crunchyroll.com/forumtopic-753936/why-do-men-cheat-on-their-wives

Wives? Sometimes women have more than one husband. [Ignore]

The women cheats too. Phrasing the question in this manner, misleads other to believe only (or all) men cheats.

That reminds me of the studies for domestic abuse that shows women are more likely than men to stalk, attack and psychologically abuse their partners.

"We don't perceive men as victims. We see women as being more vulnerable than men."
http://www.dailyfinance.com/2010/01/30/a-hidden-crime-domestic-violence-against-men-is-a-growing-probl/

This link has tons of other links for studies by the CDC, Universities and multi-nation surveys:

So much for that stereotype.

My opinion on the capabilities of men and women in the modern world...

ahem... on average men can reach higher places than women, and women on average can reach lower places less strenuously than men. both have different functions in regards to reproduction, and are treated differently in the workplace when it happens and in the life thereafter, on the occasion this occurs...

... otherwise in these modern times, it's a blur. Gender no longer has a line between its 2 sexes, there just too much crossover now. In these modern times there's less the pressure for men to be manly in the stereotypical manly way, and vice versa, there's less the pressure for women to be the picture of effeminate form and living.
Now we have the new age guys, and girls that can be mistaken for guys, appearing commonly within our world. What guys do, girls do as well... and steadily the reverse is happening as well. High fashion is becoming something for both genders (guys aren't wearing skirts [though some wear kilts] but more fashion conscious guys are coming into existence), domestic chores too (house husbands are on the rise).

Only when you look at the extremes now do the differences in capabilities become clear, ONLY the extremes. High level professional sports, physical activities that apply the maximum of strength stamina suppleness and flexibility, Differences become clear here, but otherwise, on average, everyone is more or less capably about the same regardless of gender, and also on average, active in the same activities regardless of gender.

Essentially, for the majority, the gender divide is too blurry to actually mean anything now. That is all.

Because people need something to complain about and its not limited to sexism, theres plenty of threads about religion and politics, and races, and pretty much everything else you can think of. Its simply an outlet for people to release their frustrations without having to worry about upsetting those close to them.

and I too first read it as "sexiest threads"

Im assuming and hoping you are just trolling sir. IDisagree comepletely. no woman is perfect. I work with many failed pieces of art myself. A life built around drama and a need for attention is not a perfect life trust me. Anyways that being said yes both sides have their share of stupid people but to generalize your assumption over an unproven saying when their are volumes of research to say otherwise just proves ignorance

One gender will always excel where the other doesn't, and that breeds resentment.
