This is not a sign of the end of the world. A single person kills children and the whole world is outraged. Most people live responsible lives, wanting to do good. We do manage to concern ourselves with the welfare of others and don't act in total selfishness.

Rather than dwelling on arguments of gun control and civil liberties I find myself thinking about the parents. They have experienced what no parent should have to. The lives of those families have been irreparably altered. No matter how well they recover they will never get to experience life like the rest of us do.

Here's a list of the victims if you would like to remember them by name. (from ABC news)

stuff like this is the reason why I think that 99% of the U.S. population is stupid. Oh and get better gun laws you dumbasses! Holy shit, it doesn't take a freaking genius to figure out that you have a problem with them. Seriously, how many school shootings does it take before you people realize that there needs to be a change. /end rant.

Crazy gun snackbarists. Eventually it will be impossible for responsible gun owners to own weapons anymore.

I agree what wrong with these bas*** that they need to shoot up children??? Do they get off by hurting the weak and defenseless? Its just messed up!

If they want a shoot out why don't they go to a gun show where everyone is armed and dangerous.

EXACTLY Lets go to a gun free zone where there is no one there to defend themselves with deadly force.

I once asked an american here in canada why he seemed scared. He said because he didn't have his gun. I asked why it mattered since no one here ever carries weapons, he said so he could protect himself. I asked from what and he said from other people with guns. I thinks about time guns became illegal in the states with thinking like that.

Another great case of American's having to much freedom.

not just america. In China on December 14th a man entered a elementary school and stabbed 22 children

Ah, sorry. To help clarify my statement a little.. I meant that America has more cases of such misuse than any other country in the world (that I'm aware of anyways).

Back that up with proof.

The problem with the illegalization of firearms, however, is that if somebody truly wanted a gun, regardless of the legal status, he/she could still get it. It works that way with drugs, and it will work that way with firearms as well. While I agree that there should definitely be limits on the guns allowed and who can get them, it should be noted that making them illegal will not necessarily lower the crime rate associated with them. There will always be people, for whatever reason they may have, who choose to do something so terrible. While I do wish that guns would simply disappear from existence, that can and will never happen. No matter what restrictions you put on gun usage, humanity will still be stained with the existence of such monsters.

In reference to this particular incident I find the details lacking-no updates on this case. Some guy with a rather large gun collection gets in a fight with his wife and puportedly threatens to go to the school where she works and cut loose. He yells this at the cops one day after a tragicshooting?considering these guns were no doubt collected over a long period of time and no mention was made of any previous problems with this person I'm wondering if things didn't get blown out of porportion because of the previous day's events. At any other time this would be a backpage story. As far as the US being a vioent society-there's no room for argument. After all we are an amalgam representing almost all cultures. As well as the common people, the gangs came to America too-from every country. We've had gang problems on a massive and highly organized scale for 100 yrs. There isn't any major country in the world that doesn't have it's fingers in the US illegal gun trade on one end or the other, not to mention drug trafficking. We're like the crossroads of the world for this crap.Gun laws don't stop criminals in the least-guns are always obtainable. The only ban on guns up for legislation is supposedly for assault weapons. The truest statement I've heard out of all of this is that there is a very huge need for mental heath care to be added to the national healthcare agenda and quickly. There are alot of sick people out there.

A total gun sterilization from the USA won't help either.
Why? It is easy to make a home made gun.
All you need is a tube, a primer, a metal slug, and some fast burning explosive.
All of which can be made at home, legally (under a total no gun period society) in a part for part basis, put it together to make one illegal firearm.

If your really determined, you can make a home made drum machine gun. Takes a few days if you know what your doing. Going from scrap metal to fully functional machine gun.
Or you can go all assassination style and take metal cased pens, and turn them into a single fire gun.

Honestly, if I was crook, I'd invade homes in an area that is gun free. With my gun ofc...ooh wait, isn't that a leading problem for gun free zones outside of the US? Oh shit kids, look it that. Reality is waving at you.
