As for the premium thing, well I already pay for gold and CR premium so I cant really talk but if you bought an annual subscription to both then it would likely work out at less than 100 dollars for an entire year so I would not say it was expensive.

Definitley have to say its probably a desicion on Microsofts side to not allow video playback with out a gold membership. Although if i was Crunchyroll i would look into the legal implications of this unless there were all ready made aware of it. Kinda seems like micrsoft is piggybacking a sale off of a service provided by an independant third party. Really should not be blocked if you have already purchased the hardware that supports the free downloadable application. And i am aware the microsoft already stings people that want to use IE on there xbox with requiring a gold membership but that is IP of Microsofts anyway and they can do whatever the please with it. Any chance of an offiical response from Crunchyroll on this one though as to why the Gold Membership on Xbox Live is required for video playback through the Crunchyroll application?
