It's alright! I want to help out, I'm just unsure as to what the problem is.

Can you please try to explain again? Or maybe snap a few photos if you can?

Is there a way while in the queue to view what episodes are available for that show? On the PS3 app you can, but I can't figure out how to do so on the Xbox w/o just searching for that show and clicking on videos. It gets annoying for animes that are over 100 episodes long and the last episode you watched was 77 and you wanna go back and watch ep 3. So far all you can do is just skip back all the way to the 3rd episode. Thanks!

One thing that I noticed while using the App is that on either of my televisions (one is a 720p / 1080i TV and the other a 1080p TV) is that when there scrolling texts / certain items in the video, the subtitles are pushed down below the screen of the TV and you are unable to view them (specifically, the end of Episode 1 and the beginning of Episode 2 of Majikoi Oh! Samurai Girls). Watching these on your computer, my iOS device, my Kindle Fire, or on my Smart Phone does not reproduce the issue.

Additionally, I have found that my Crunchyroll app is constantly loosing it's connection to the servers (once every couple of episodes) while the Android app and on the PC have no issues with streaming (nightly iOS app connection issues, generally between 8:30pm and 10:00pm as well); simply exiting to the 360 main screen and then re-opening the app will allow me to resume the video (after jumping through the menus to get to the history), though, it generally puts me about 5 minutes prior to when the actual disconnect happens.

FYI I have checked and rechecked internet connections, speeds, the whole works, and can confirm the same behavior on the Xbox 360 we have at the office as well (with a Fiber connection).

Any ideas?

On your first note, you can adjust the aspect ratio of the video player using the last option on the player control bar. This may help, or perhaps your TVs are set to use ZOOM mode?

Unfortunately the Xbox app is not very fault-tolerant for video segments served up from our CDN's, if they are served too slowly or have some bad metadata they could cause the error that you see. We'll try to make this better in a future update and apologize for the current frustrations.

Hello, Josh, and thanks for the timely reply!

I checked the picture mode settings and confirmed that they are not set to zoom, and I played around with the different settings for the Xbox as well as e tv and couldn't get around it, no worries though, since I know that all apps are works in progress and maybe things will change in the future!

In the meantime I will just use one of the other many devices that I have to catch the content that I'm missing (or just learn Japanese and solve the problems that way)

Thanks again!

Seriously fix this app! You guys here at cr have to acknowledge that there is a problem with the app. I just got done watching a ep of Suisei no Gargantia with the connection flickering back and forth between 1 and 2 bars. Then exited the app and went to HBOGO and had perfect HD with 5.1 dolby and then to netflix also with full HD. Then back to CR and back to flickering between 1 and 2 bars. IT'S NOT ARE CONNECTIONS. Why do you refuse to just release a statement and acknowledge there is a problem. This isn't fair to your paying customers.
Fix this please or at least acknowledge its not us its YOU !

My problem is, with most shows on this application, it tends to buffer every two or three seconds for a length of around 10 seconds or so. So it is now taking me around 35-40 minutes to watch a complete 20 minute episode. I know it is not our internet connection, as they seem to stream fine on this actual website for me. If you could offer a solution, I'd very much appreciate it.

Thank you in advance.

Just a short question: I assume traffic on Crunchyroll tends to differ depending on the time of day, so my question is this: will streaming be a little heavier/slower during any particular hours? And if so, when does traffic tend to be the heaviest?

I wrote a post some weeks ago about having some problems with very frequent buffering at most times when playing videos. This is not a problem anymore, but I still experience some of that now, mostly around 8pm give or take an hour or so (and going by CET+1 or 2 depending on the daylight savings thing, seeing as I live in Norway.) Mind you, I'm not complaining about it this time, since it usually happens during the opening animation (and maybe the ending animation) but rarely during the episodes themselves, and not nearly as frequently and as long as it used to before you activated the other CDN full time. (As you put it.)

Hmm, I signed up for a Premium trial, and I can't get anything on XBox. It says it wants a Xbox Gold membership, which I don't have. Am I missing something?

Currently when I go to watch a video on the Xbox 360, I can't return to title list. I have to exit the video and then I have to go to the main menu and search for the title to access the title with all the episodes.

Can you add a feature where you can go to the title series with all the episodes on the current video playing so I don't have to back out of what I am currently watching? This feature is available when you press the start/select button with Hulu+ and Netflix (TV series). This is an easy feature that Crunchyroll can implement as well.

This feature will make video browsing so much easier.

Thanks.

Also if anyone knows how to disable the pop-up that continually asks "Do you want to share your video?" that I get from the start of each video. That would be much appreciated. Its annoying all the time having to press yes or no.
