List the best & Worst concerts you've ever been to.

The Best :
1.) Lights (Electro-Pop, indie, ?,)
The performance was pretty much one of the best I've seen, energetic, she knew how to get the crowd feeling it, and you could just FEEL the energy and good vibes.

2.) The Agonist (Metal, Nu-Metal, Female Fronted Screamer)
I love music with screaming on CD, however live, I find MOST have disappointed me, Agonist didn't fail to deliver though.
And to get the crowd involved, they had the majority of their setlist set ahead of time, but the 3 encore songs were decided by the crowd, which I felt was an awesome move

THE WORST

1.) Asia (?)
Now, I was never a huge fan of them, and this was one of the concerts I was doing security for... However they really let their age show. For having songs that were suppose to be energetic, they all just kinda stood completely still playing the instruments, 2 of them sitting. None of them seemed like they wanted to be there at all. And the concert was emptying out 40 minutes before it was over. It was also the first concert I EVER worked that not a SINGLE person tried yelling for an encore... I'm sure the band members all needed their naps anyways.

2.) 30 Seconds To Mars (Nu-Rock)
Now, it's not often you hear a band insult the intelligence of their fans, but 30STM had no problem doing it...When playing a concert locally for their new CD, they called out that they were going to play an old favorite, which not surprisingly, was the favorite of SEVERAL people in the crowd as well.
However within 20 seconds they stopped playing the the lead singer exclaimed "We need to keep playing the new stuff, we don't want to confuse them"
When the guitarist himself seemed a bit confused by this the lead singer explained "We can't play new stuff, then old stuff, then new stuff again, they won't be able to follow it"
Which almost instantly created swear words of every kind being tossed at him.
Aside from that, the lead singer was constantly too far from the microphone, mumbled a few times (I believe he forgot the words...?) and the guitarist stopped playing mid song at one point to drink water, instead of waiting ~40 more seconds...

And so now I ask you all.
List the best.....and the worst...
(if you've never seen one in person, taped performances can count I suppose =) )

Oh, what an interesting thread!

1. Devin Townsend Project (progressive metal)
Oh man where do I begin! After Fear Factory played, they took off the drumstage and while the stage guys worked on stage, they had Ziltoid- TV playing on a big backdrop. Ziltoid TV btw is several youtube memes where Devin Townsend's mascot, Ziltoid is messing about in the different clips. This was awesome because not only did we as an audience have a good time, we had it while they were rigging. So we were entertained the whole time. The gig itself was just amazing! The sound was great! The musicians were awesome and a had a great time on stage. I also managed to get a pick AND, was able to personally hand Devin a banner I made for him which he showed the audience after the gig. Although it was metal, I have never felt so much love and warmth from the people in the crowd.
What a gig!

2. Ozric Tentacles (space-rock/progressive rock)
This gig was awesome mostly of the fact that I've been waiting for 15 years for them to visit Sweden so to finally see them was just amazing! Great sound, awesome music and a wild audience. I don't dance but boy did I dance at that gig! =D
If you search the gig at youtube, you can see a guy in the crowd to the right jumping up and down all the time...that was me. ^^

3. Emperor (black metal)
After a 16 years of silence, Emperor decided to reunite for Wacken Open Air 06. This was a great gig! It was nice to see the band being better than ever and the front-guy talking to the audience from his heart, avoiding the metal-clichés. I will remember this gig for the rest of my life!

So...bad ones eh?

Eta Carinae (progressive metal)
I didn't think I'd list my own band but in September I played at an indoor metal-festival which probably had the worst sound EVER!!!
At soundcheck, the soundguys forgot to check my monitor, I had to ask them twice to check it! When they did, I didn't hear my bassdrum, no vocals, some guitars and ALOT of bass. During the gig, the soundguys tried to get me a decent mix in my monitor but they were messing about so much I didn't know what to listen to. The housedrums were in so bad shape that you couldn't see the drumheads for all the tape covering them. Sure I could've tuned the kit but there was no time for that.
One of my guitarists asked for more bassdrum in his monitor and got "but it's right there" as an answer, the other guys had bass and bass only in their monitors! It didn't matter that we asked the soundguys to turn it down, it was through the roof!
The sound out was just awful! People couldn't stand in the same room as the stage since they only heard bass and NO DRUMS!?!?
The headlining band asked my band to take over their spot but we refused since gig was delayed as it was and by the time the last band played, it was TWO IN THE MORNING! The last band basically played for the soundguys. Man was it terrible.
The second day of the event had tons of people from the audience posting comments on the facebook-event that the sound was the worst ever, that the whole evening poorly arranged and that it was too expensive.
We did a decent gig but man was the whole festival a failure.

THE BEST
1. Beirut : Honestly I've never heard any other band sound as good as they did live. The crowd was really good too, everyone sang along to their songs in beautiful harmony. Their live performance can't touch just listening to them on a CD and I wish I could see them again.

2. The best : Rise Against & Motion City Soundtrack @ Warped Tour... Basically Rise Against had the most brutal pit I've ever been in and it was great. They were also very good live. Motion City Soundtrack well shit they just sounded like they were in the studio; something that doesn't happen often with a lot of rock bands.

THEWORSTEVER
1. I walked past hoobastanky and they were just plain terrible so I continued on.
