music is universal. if something sounds good, then it's cool. just because you can't understand a language shouldn't mean that you're going to limit yourself to the languages you do understand. let it inspire you to go further with it. J-music was the reason i learned Japanese in the first place, but i listened to it before i knew the language.

no. music is music, regardless of what language the vocals are in, or even if there are no vocals. each country, each region offers a distinct sound that others cannot. if you enjoy that sound, then you should listen to it.

aside from that, 90% of american music for the past decade or more has been shit. what else are you supposed to listen to?

Hell I have a song that's mixed with European, Japanese and German all in one. It's your music though as long as you like it and it's not hurting anyone it's all good.

I have Japanese songs on my phone and I don't think its weird at all. If you like the song, listen to it. I even memorized the ending to Cowboy bebop because of it. Its not bad to expand your musical territory.

I have an adopted brother from the Ukraine and he introduced me to a good bit of russian hip hop music. I have no Idea what the lyrics mean usually, so I just think of the singing as another instrument. Its awesome.

Half of the songs on my phone are from anime OSTs (Mirai Nikki, FMA, etc) and the other half is nightcore. I'm glad my friends don't know of it because it would raise a lot of questions xD

It's music. I could sing it in public and people would ask, and I'd say I have no clue.

I have some anime EDs and OPs in my library, as well as music of German, Italian, French, Spanish, Korean, and Chinese language. I also have one song in an African language, though I do not know exactly which African language. I just like the sound of it.
