I played it. It was a horribly flawed game, that did a few things VERY right but for the most part was largely a mess of design mistakes.

Writing a 'review' for this one was incredibly hard because the few things it did well were incredible... but for every good thing it did something related was done utterly terrible.
Vast world, incredibly trite and unmemorable characters with no real story. Gorgeous scenery, ugly character models. Interesting leveling system, boring gameplay. Cool crafting system, boring crafted items. Interesting concept of stealth, horrible stealth mechanics and AI. Some of the most memorable themes you can find and then right next to those, some of the worst tracks I've heard. Incredible sense of 'depth' to the world itself, with cities that are so poorly populated and barren that it just ruins it.

One of my longest posts ever was trying to actually work through the contradictions I was presented in Skyrim... and my overall thoughts on it are: Everyone should play it once just to experience the incredible feeling of being in the world, but avoid the cities and the questing... you can experience everything worth experiencing in this game in a few hours of wandering.

Yea I seen the rave reviews for Skyrim, but I know i'd like it too much...it would take over my life than I would get fat from not moving.

How does it compare to Oblivion?

I don't like the Skyrim soundtrack as much so I'm not in a hurry to play it.

"I took an arrow to the knee!!" for Christ sake how could you guys not love skyrim http://kotaku.com/5869227/final-fantasy-xiiis-lightning-strikes-skyrim/gallery/1 and this is from a FFVII fanatic. Played Fallout 3 on console and enjoyed the different play style and the fact that you have freedom in the choices you make like you can be the bad guy the villain whatever suits you and your choices effects the outcome and scenarios in the game. For anyone that says its non linear or all the same the same can also be said for most rpgs. Either hero saves world + princess or no name becomes hero saves the princess + world and in the process gains super duper uber powers along with his 2 buddys lols. If you take your time to indulge in the game and embrace the world you will find it more enjoyable but IMO I do think that the theme is more for the Mans Man the hardcore gamer. Mods anyone? http://hawaiidermatology.com/hatsune/hatsune-miku-skyrim-mod.htm

Skyrim? Sounds kinky.

I've played every game in the Elder Scrolls series (even Arena) so yeah i've played Skyrim. Still liked Morrowind and Oblivion more though. I have a 360 and an original Xbox somewhere, but my 360 is on it's last legs.
