Some thing I wonderd is, how many animes haves main or side character that is of african decent (black) and witch anime are they from? am not trying to stir up a race debate just curious. Also do you think there should be more black anime character leading roles? are black anime characters the same as any othe character of all races personality wise and role wise or are there stereotyped? The same goes for Caucasians are there many Caucasian characters or all most light skin japanese characters? are Caucasian anime characters stereotyped or not. Honest opinions please.

Wait, shouldn't you paste this in the Anime forum? Since this is about anime..right?

But anyways...I don't there is a lot. I don't care if the lead is black, or think there should be. Bee from Naruto seems Black, it just seems to be character design, Like Tyki from D.Gray Man, it's there to be...there...color is not really for diversity, but character design. There almost if no such thing as skin color in anime but the difference of power in race mostly superpowers...

Caucasian in some animes are funny. They are usually blond, snobby, curse and are very blunt and usually have blue eyes. It's really weird how the Japanese view most people from America in Anime world and it's weird and odd.... \

Why bring race and color into anime? It's just stupid. The Japanese don't see it like that, so why should we? Most don't usually bring it up unless to kinda mock or kinda make fun of it. Other than that....nothing.

There's Bob from Tenjou Tenge.

There's a lot black characters in anime. There's 3 in Bleach(dont know how to spell their names),1 in Now Then Here and There. There's too many white and black anime characters for me to list them. You cant really bring race into anime because I'm pretty sure Asian people dont have purple eyes or blue hair

Great question, I wondered the same thing...oh and bee from Naruto isn't black...he's the stereotypical kind of black lol.

there are a few black leads. Bobobo is black and a lead character, Afro Samurai, some more i cant think of at the moment. Anime are done by 90% japanese so you will most likely see japanese leads. As for whites there are alot like Naruto is white blond hair blue eyes
