Black Belt in Taekwondo. Like TheDreamHare, it's been a long while since I last did it. Probably about 5 years ago. Plan on learning Karate myself, but will stick to games and piano for the time being.

I see Taekwondois a common art, must be useful as my Taekwondo black belt friend tells me, or showed in our friendly fights and spars

The art of winning, even against your kung-fu garbage.

I've fought a guy once that knew karate. He kept telling me how he could kick my ass easily. (this was back in highschool) So I invited him out to a park after school so he could test his skills. Sure, he kicked like a mule. But that first kick was also the end of him. Just grabbed his leg and he was on the ground and crying 2 minutes later.

mauytai and taikwondo but muaytai is better in a real fight. Ive also learned quite alot of juijistu because its somethingf me and my brother like to do.
My favorite though is capoeira. Its very hard and it takes a lot of strength but its really fun. Hardest martialatr out there though. Its considered a dance art though.
Still though, I dont like dragging on fights so i learned some pressure points and most can end a fight before it begans. That or the windpipe.

I did Karate and Tae-kwon-do in middle school, but I haven't really done it since (lessons were too expensive). I do still practice a bit though on occasion, especially when it's cold to warm me up....Or just because I feel like it

I did Kendo for a while. I really liked it, but I didn't like the Sensei 's teaching style.
I also took PPCT, although I'm not really sure if that's a martial art.

I'm looking for something new, but I'm not sure what.

I think tae kwondo is pretty useless in a real fight s along with several popular martial arts like karate

For me the only martial art that I would use in real fights are Escrima and Krav Maga(which i dont consider a 'art')

I have been training in I.T.F Taekwon-do for 18 years and still continue to train. I have never had to use it or fight at all outside of a sparring match. I disagree with people who say Taekwon-do is useless. How can you know if you have never actually practiced the REAL Taekwon-do or even had to use it? Anyone can say any martial art is useless, it all comes down to the practitioner. No martial art is truly useless, only the practitioner can be useless and not represent the art properly.
Truth be told, the way martial arts are taught now is a far cry from the way they were taught years and years ago. There is no longer the necessity to defend ones life in the way that there was in say feudal Japan. You have to realize this by reading any of the textbooks that were written by any of the martial arts pioneers or founders of the particular style.
But anyways I would definitely like to talk to and meet anyone in Taekwon-do, especially I.T.F

I'm a black belt in Judo, don't really get a lot of trouble cause I'm pretty big and people are usually scared of me.
