Japan is very good at keeping anime plans top secret until they intend to release it in their own way. Just keep an eye on Anime News Network as a habit and maybe we'll come across new info.

This would make sense since both are set within in the same world, making SAO a sort of prequel to Accel World. It's all just speculation though A second Accel World anime seems more reasonably likely considering the inconclusiveness of it's story line at it's climax and so many open questions, at least compared to SAO's anime conclusion which cut chunks out of its ALO arc to round it out to 25 episodes (there may not have been any more death games but there was originally so much more to the ALO arc storyline than just trying to save Asuna and Sugu's love issues, that wasn't covered), that left it conclusive enough to be satisfying as is.

I'm hoping they eventually get around to another season. I loved Phantom Bullet and Mother's Rosario. Alicization is a little slower paced to start off, but I think it's actually the most interesting part of the SAO saga so far.
