Ahhh the ending was so good. I watched it twice. I loved every moment of it although it did piss me off when Kirito was dancing with Sugu but oh well it was a happy ending. As for the further continuation, they should move onto Gun Gale Online and then UnderWorld. I want Kayaba to return too in the new arc that would be epic. He is so mysterious. I kinda like how it ended, the ending wrapped everything up and did not leave any loose ends like a lot of animes do, they just leave you at cliffhangers which I hate. If they do make a second season, it has to be live up to the first season expectations. Kirito levels up from being a badass to the King of being badass. He should be the king of that VRMMO and Asuna as the Queen. hahahaha

It was so good to see the whole crew back together! There's so much material for a season two that I really hope they announce it, and soon! I really want to see Sugu fall in love with someone else, among other things, since her story is just continuing on very sadly...

it kinda feels like code geass, with the way they ended it.

but they can atleast redeem themselves. but apparently asuna is taken out of the picture from what i hear. maybe thats why they decided to end it. but yea im in love with the SAO world. would really love to own and spend 200+ hours on the game. and if its becomes an MMO than it better live up to the standards. to bad bandai ending its us branches, so won't be expecting SAO to be in the US anytime soon unless something big happens.

anyways yea good episode, epic but didn't feel some part were as effective as it could be.

and as a movie, they could turn any arc into a movie of any anime and still be successful but i'd rather have a long series than a short movie.

It might not be SAO but it have the same features and even more plus it did them in 1996 a mmo called ultima online

Just watched the last episode. Couldn't stop crying, not because it was good but because i spend half year waiting for new episodes to released. Spend a half year on this anime.

I definitely would like to see a continuation. The series was far too popular for them not too. They'll probably make a pretty big profit off of this.

Well here's the translated text of that scene from baka tsuki:

Yui flew from Asuna's shoulder onto Kirito's shoulder.

"Hey, Papa, hurry!"
Kirito's piercing glance looked at Aincrad, for a moment he was downcast. His lips moved, whispering a name, but she couldn't hear it.
When Kirito raised his head vigorously, his face had his usual dauntless smile back on again. He spread his wings wide, aiming for the sky in front.
"Ok— Let's go!!"

I'm going to guess that he probably was saying something to Sachi, the girl from the Black Cats of the Full Moon who had died.

that's nice if true that he might be thinking of Sachi

nooo, Sugu shall be with Kirito FOREVER! no to Recon or whoever else...lol I might be ranting at this point

anyway I say ep 25 wrapped up the series nicely for SAO and ALO
but it can also be continued however it wants into Gun Gale Online as well if it does get a 2nd season
I'd like a second season but if they do end here, I'm ok, but I'll keep believing that another season is in the works

No matter what anyone has to say about it, the sheer volume of people that watched this is incredible. No other new release comes close when you look at the stats on all the websites. I'm an anime-planet user and I've noticed that new releases are lucky to have a couple thousand people "watching" by the time they finish. SAO is at 11000. I think that says something right there.

I really hope they continue this as well, this is easily the best anime of the year. I've seen tons of anime over the years and none of them have interested me as much as this series has. I love this show and I would hate to see it end like this after 25 episodes. Also after watching the final episode this is definitely in my top 5 favorite anime!

I would love to see a second season of this, but as much as I loved this anime, I have to say that I wouldn't be too sad if it didn't continue. the ending was good. and there's always the LNs to continue the story.

I like the light novels, but excuse me saying it isn't the same. You don't get the same amount of emotion out of the novels.

maybe, but if they're going to keep cutting out as much as they did during this season, ESPECIALLY during the Aincrad arc, then I'd rather read the novels.

Excited to see Gun Gale Online. I'm expecting to see more action in this anime than complete shitty romance scenes and drama.

Dude, this is the only anime I know that i can say did romance well. If that didn't make you like it what did? I mean I like the series but the action wasn't that good.
