Feeling after Finishing an ANIME
|
I feel the exact same way not exactly hollow but sad like I'm loosing a bunch of people I knew really well, especially with anime's that have to do with overcoming an obstacle because you grow more attached to the characters as they grow stronger too. Every time they had a challenge that got in the way you rooted for them and when they overcame it you had a sense of accomplishment and pride as if you overcame it as well. When an anime series ends then its like you've suddenly been separated from these people that you grew with if that makes any sense lol. For example I just finished watching Sword Art Online and while the anime itself was pretty mediocre I did feel very sad when it ended because I saw Kirito go through so much and to just have it stop does make me sad

This highlights ALL my feelings after finishing a series. Gets kinda depressing and takes me a couple of days to get over the initial depressing feelings then 2 to 3 weeks to finally be rid of it. |

Keep watching more animes and it will eventually disappear.

If I don't have to do it, I won't. If I have to do it, I'll make it quick.

i don't get this feeling of "emptiness" anymore cuz there is always another anime waiting to be watched, so just make a to-watch list or whatever and plan on watching certain series after finishing an anime...

i usually sit and think for a few minutes and then go crazy, feel annoyed, search the web for more info on it, cry, Hype about it to make it feel like it's still part of my life, buy video games if they have any

Satisfied as all hell. The feeling of finishing Gurren Lagann.....man, what an awesome show.

(OFF) I will become an otaku one day...

I get that feeling as well, with anime, live action shows, books, and even some particularly good video games. I usually have to avoid watching another show for at least a few days to process the previous one.

I get that feeling of emptiness and just super sad that the story ends and you know you will never see the characters after that point of the story.
I know usually the longer a series goes the quality can go down but sometimes I just wish some animes could go on for many more years even if they have fillers lol |

Like a lot of you said there's always another anime to watch but after I finish a really good show I can't help but to sit there and think "damn it's over. " Which is funny because I watched it so I could finish it

Darkness beyond twilight, crimson beyond blood that flows

Emptiness that goes away when I find another enjoyable anime. It's an endless cycle.
I have to say though, Inuyasha affected me profoundly... more so than any other anime. |

I (mostly) always get a little depressed after I finish a series, unless it was terrible, then I'm glad it's finally over. But, i'm the same way for book series, video games, and movie series. I know I cried for a couple of days after watching Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King theatres. |

I always feel kind of sad whenever i finish a good anime. But if it's not that good, then i don't really feel anything about it.
