I was a long time smoker and genuinely enjoyed smoking.
However, do to the health risks I decided to quit.

I started smoking when I was 16, didn't care much for it but remembered that my mom used it as a stress-relief so continued. My family doesn't mind, of course they were sad at first, but they got used to it. I've only been smoking for almost three years.

I've been a smoker since I was 11, & a pack a day since I was 13; I'm now 48 & still smoke & wish I'd never started!! I've tried giving up on a number of occasions, the longest was for 11 days, but I was in hospital then so it was easier to rely on patches than lug my torn body outside for a cigarette! But as a result of that episode I've discovered that while the patches seem to stop the cravings, I cant use them 'cause they make my throat swell up & I cant breath!! I get really annoyed with the governments attitude to smoking in this country (Australia), they make a shitload of money by taxing tobacco, & because smoking is so demonised, smokers dont have any consumer rights. The taxes go up every 6mths & the money the govt makes is spent on a few pissy non-smoking ads & no other quitting programs - they only subsidise the newest medications once every year, so if you fail in your attempt (as most smokers will) you have to wait another year to be able to try again. I actually believe the government doesnt really want us to give up because they would lose all that tax revenue that they can raise whenever they feel like it with no complaints from voters!!
Anyhow, sorry for the bitch, Im always looking for new ways to give up & I wouldnt wish it on my worst enemy. My Grandpa & my Aunt both died of lung cancer (Aunt at 45yo) so I feel like Im running out of time!! If anyone is ever in any doubt, DONT!!

I have smoked before, but i wouldn't say i was a smoker aha. i have not touched a cigarette in like 2 years, i smoked a few when i was 16 and trying to be "cool". Im happy i didn't ever actually become a "smoker". I hate the smell, and its a really bad habit (no offense to those who choose to smoke, nothing wrong with it, as long as you are not ignorant to people who dont want to inhale your second hand smoke)

Hmm been smoking since I turned 18 basically, I don't smoke cigarettes, besides a small blip of a month or 2 where I had like a pack every 2 weeks, but I smoke hookah like 4-5x a week, pretty much for the past 5 years, I mean i know its terrible for me, hookah is especially bad, but whatever mang, its not like I have any reason to live till I'm 30.
